Interesting thread. Guess I've been around awhile. I had #77 '03 Cobra that I got in June of 2002. Heard about this site at a get together in 2004. Been entertained here ever since.

Sure do miss that car.
What color was it? I can only remember a few out here, on this side of the valley.

Torch red.

HM wave was the guy that introduced me to this site. British guy.
Right on! I remember seeing you around the valley. Usually you would be going between the valley and Redmond. Cool to put a name with the car.

I remember Dave out here, with the Oxford White, he put the tune on my car at a dyno day in 2006 up north. He used to be on this site, and there was your Torch, then a Screaming Yellow? Out here with the Fastback window louvers on it. Have not seen any of them for ever. 04Mystic? Or something like that on here, used to be in the military. Sold me his MRT off road H pipe. Long time ago, had a big whipped build long ago. Dave with the Oxford White cobra was my introduction to cobra wrenching. Picked up his billetflow pulley puller, and he helped me install the pulley and idlers, and Heat exchanger. Awesome guy. Did all his own work, from pullied, to ported, to whipple, to Aluminator Turbo. Ended up moving to Florida? I think. Seems so long ago.

I joined in 08 after getting my '99 Cobra. Never really posted a ton though. That car has been sitting/rotting in my driveway after it overheated a little more than 5 years ago. I got fed up with it breaking on me so much and left it. I just bought an '04 Cobra last weekend. So I have started looking into all the forums I used to be part of.

I remember most of what people are bringing up in this thread and indeed, they were some crazy times.

You might be thinking of another torch red that was out here. I think he may still have that car. He had inserts in the Cobra on the rear bumper. He worked somewhere in Redmond.

Yes, Dave moved quite awhile ago. Nice guy. Wish he would have stuck around. Has a new wife and some kids now. 04Mystic, Greg was in the military at some point. I remember giving him a 351C block that he picked up in his foxbody.

Good deal! What were you going to do with the Cleveland? Did you have the heads?

On the way to the dyno, I was following Dave leaving town going north. First time I saw the 2.3 Whipple power! Dave took off @60mph laying two big black lines perfectly straight down 203. Yeah, I think Greg was there too, Dave and Greg were trying to get the most hp for the day. Dave rang up 604 rear wheel, power, crazy for 2007. I had a video of some of the cobras there, wish I could find out what I did with it.

There was another guy, Florida if I recall who was building a badass Shelby drag car (o7-09 body style maybe)
Was a SF guy (green beret) constantly deployed, then stopped posting. I cant recall screen name!

Been here a minute. Great site! Helped me learn all kinds of things about my '03 Lightning & '04 Cobra back in the day. Lots of names I recall from reading over the years.

Who was building the late 60’s Mach1 with a complete drivetrain and interior swap with an 03/04 Mach1? Does anyone have the build thread link?
