96 if you plan on keeping it stock and resell it later and the 95 if you actually want to drive it.

mystic and do whatever you have to do to take care of the paint. it has the original drivetrain and it happens to be a 4v while the white one is...white... and had an engine swap.

i wouldn't want a mystic because I'm super picky about paint work but its definitely the better car.

Thanks guys for the feedback.....I do have a garage spot. Is the mystic paint known that bad for failed paint problems or clearcoat? I can't believe for the miles and price on the white one he can't sell it. It's at $10,500 now

the Crystal whiteskwhites are known for paint issues. Pretty sure the mystics are pretty solid

IIRC, the Mystic paint is solid as @Makobra states. The only "issue" with it is the higher expense of the paint itself if you need to redo it.

Yes, I was going to say the same thing that @Tillerman77 said. Paint repairs will be more expensive because the Mystic paint is more expensive. And it's harder to blend smaller repair areas, unlike white paint, as an example. Meaning a door ding repair will likely end up with the entire door being repainted. But, Mystic is a nice color if you are fine with the added cost of paint repairs. The car itself looks nice but I can't see any of the other Mystic photos. Same with the white car. A link to the actual ads would have been better so that folks could actually look at all of the photos for each car and give you better feedback and recommendations.

I have a 95 (2-top Cobra) and a 96 Mystic. Out of those 2 options, I’d recommend the 96 Mystic all day long. I don’t do white Mustangs and the 95 is too far removed from stock for my tastes. The Mystic paint is magical... if it’s in decent shape, you’ll love the color shift. If the paint is rough, skip both and keep shopping.

Thanks again for your input. I am kinda hoping to get the mystic for 10k. With it having 78k on it I asked the owner if he had done any shocks struts tune up etc... said no just oil changes lol
So that makes me a little hesitant on buying, trans or clutch list goes on & on. What do u guys think about that with the mileage its at?

That sort of mileage is excellent to be honest. These trans hold up better than conventional wisdom suggests, and even struts/shocks, springs, clutch aren't that much to just take care of. Honestly, you are probably just gonna want to replace all that with your given suspension of choice within a year anyway

With 78,000 miles the suspension is ready for a refresh. It really depends on how you plan to use the car. With some suspension, exhaust and brake work you could have a super fun driver. I would get the Mystic...

Anyone else thoughts on the mileage?

mileage is practically meaningless. my car technically had only 104k miles on it but already had a rebuilt junkyard WAP block in it, used to have a blower, had a shitty black paint job, shitty useless general half measure mods done by idiots who didn't care or know how to do the job right. in short, the car was an absolute mess. its on its third engine rebuild now and at least second trans.

like i said, mileage is meaningless. condition is ALL that matters and mods are an unknown that you won't find answers to until you own it which in my experience has generally been a disappointment. my standards may be a bit higher than most since its basically anything done to the car should be OEM grade or higher.

so, unmolested mystic or a thoroughly molested crystal white with an engine I don't want?

easy call if its the same money.

I have a mystic and an 95 as well. I think the Mystic might be a better car for you and would be better long term, because it sounds original and is not all altered and such. I love my 95 as its a also a 2 Top like goose has and I love driving it with the top down and cruising. So personally my fav to drive is my 95

These cars are 25 years old and if someone has changed all the wires and the engine and possibly the harness and maybe bypassed the CCRM and Relays and all, It can be a night mare for you to have to rip into it to diagnose and such if things go bad and you don't know what is stock or what isn't or what has changed etc.

Mileage is mileage and parts are available for the 4.6 so you can keep it going and part of the joy in owning the cars is keeping them going and making the cars last longer on this earth than we do/

I don't like to be on the I want to keep the mileage down crowd as I want to enjoy my cars and such. However the mystic I bought only had 9,000 miles when I bought it. It wasn't so low I feel guilty driving it yet not so high it has been seriously devalued.

My vote is Mystic of those 2 cars.

let us know what you decide....
