Anyone have any opinions on Red line gear lube? I read really good things on it and heard some others that have used it claim in made their rear end quieter over other brands. Also I see a lot of people using 75w140. Is this preferred over say 75w90?

I used 75W140 as it was recommended in the Ford/Shelby owners supplement/manual.

HPL 75w-140. I own a shop and did research to find the best lubricants I could. Mobil one is good and so is amsoil but HPL I have seen to work better at the track. It's also already has friction modifier in it, no need to add more. Also get the HPL synthetic transmission fluid for your TR6060. For engine oil most brands are the same=ok. Amsoil sued Mobil one over false advertisement of a "fully synthetic" engine oil label but lost since the rest of the market is based off of skewed results. Put the correct weight oil in not to many brands come in the 5w-50 anyways but add best line lubricants additive. It's expensive but worth it. Its does what lucas oil "claims" its suppose to do but waaaaay better. Watch youtube videos on it you will understand quickly.

When I watched this video, I was blown away! I had no idea this is what the oil actually does. It makes sense now why the cover is shaped the way it is, and how an aluminum version with cooling fins would actually be a great upgrade!

I have the aluminum finned cover. Comes with top and bottom ports for an external cooler, so the bottom port will come in very handy next fluid change. It's an easy upgrade especially if you're already removing the stocker to change fluid. Increases rigidity a bit as well.
8.8" ALUMINUM AXLE COVER WITH DIFFERENTIAL COOLER PORTS

BTW try not to leave the diff cover off overnight in a humid environment; the sealing surface will rust like a brake rotor in the rain; was a PITA to clean it up again.

I either used RP or Mobil1 75w140 with friction modifier from Ford.
