Who would be willing to help me with some brake caliper measurements for a custom wheel fitment? I won’t have my car for a month but I’m trying to get the wheels ordered now and they need someone to measure for the template. I just need someone that has a GT 500 in hand that is willing to take a few measurements for me.

if you are willing, post here or send me an email to [email protected]. Thanks

Did you get any measurements from someone that already has a GT500? If you haven't I have some advice for you.

Since you are doing custom wheels I take it they are going to be big dollar wheels and basically if the company or store that you are buying these wheels from for your Shelby and they need you to tell them some measurements so the wheels will clear your brakes I might consider buying from someone else.

The accuracy of someone measuring their brakes for you may not be precise. You then tell these #'s to your wheel place, they make the wheels and when it's time to bolt them up you could find out that they don't clear.

Lots of reputable companies that make or sell high $$$$ wheels have done fitments on this Shelby already so I suggest you talk with them and see what you want and what they can do for you. Basically they will already know exactly the offset, brake clearances needed for your wheel application.

Forgeline, HRE will already have the info about this car with regards to what wheels they offer will fit, and you can always contact CW4L or Howey Industries as both vendors can help with sizing and none of these companies will need you to tell them what measurements are needed from you to make the wheels you want.

CW4L - Custom Forged Wheels (speak with Gerry)

Howey Industries | #1 Forgestar, Forgeline, HRE, Strasse Forged, Velgen, and Avant Garde Wheel Distributor (ask for Paul, I bought my Forgeline wheels for my 13 GT500 from him 5 years ago)

Don’t know anyone else making these wheels. I’ll just wait until my car arrives and then deal with the measurements. Strange that no one has a Gt500 that can take some measurements for me.

I took a look at their site and when I input the car specs I only get a 19" fitment (which I doubt it will fit cause of the much larger brakes compared to the GT350 which these wheels are made for at the moment).

https://www.vibemotorsports.com/wheels/search/?year=2020&make=Ford&model=Mustang&trim=Shelby+GT500

It shows those wheels are made by a company called "Custom Forged" which I've never heard of (and no website when I googled the name).

Like Tob mentioned in that other thread you did about wheels that look like the CFTP wheels they are in the process of developing those wheels in 20" fitment that will fit your car but like I said earlier, the company making these wheels for 20 GT500 "should" know all the critical clearance measurements on the car for these wheels to fit. The fact that they are relying on a possible customer to give them measurements so they can do up a set for them tells me they aren't on the ball. I'd move on to another company that knows what is going on.

BINGO!!!!
I was going back and forth with a company, (middleman company), that I was thinking about buying wheels/tires from. I "want to eventually" do the GT350R big brake kit on my car, but they ASKED ME to find the measurements of the calipers to make sure that the offset and backspacing would be good/have enough clearance. We were going back and forth for about a week before this came up and I kept making sure that they knew it NEEDED to clear the big brake kit with enough space and still sit flush with the car. After that last email when they asked me for the measurements, I NEVER emailed them back and they never emailed me back as well. They were a middleman for the company of wheel that I was looking for. **** THAT!!! If you can't tell me or if that wheel company can't tell me,...........I'm all set.
