Bluetooth kills quality regardless of how good the quality of the file is on whatever device you're using. My "HD radio" in my car sounds better than my great quality files on my phone that I play through Bluetooth.

Posts and likes are not mine.

I just stream it.

The speaker systems in my trucks/cars are so garbage the convenience of streaming outweighs the losses in quality anyway.

I'm bummed my 2019 F150 has no CD player....what's the best way to get them copied? Get them transferred to my phone in ITunes? Thanks for any help.
I ripped all my CD's to 320 kbps MP3. Cant even tell a difference as Ive never been an audiophile aside from 320 bit rate.

My Samsung S7 is my media player, even after it was retired from phone service. Bluetooth may not be as good as a CD playing back a high fidelity recording, but Id bet you wouldnt be able to really tell the difference.

Microsoft created a special file download for what ever the latest Windows Operating program [Windows 10? Windows 11?]....
So ancient people, like me, can still use the ZUNE program to maintain our music library.

I'm up to 19,800+ songs in total! That breaks down to:

3343 Albums
146 Genres
1740 Different Artists
174 Custom Playlists

I have so much vested in ZUNE that I can't simply "drop it"....

I tried Apple/Itunes back in 2012-13 & it would NOT recognize HALF of my music collection when I tried "their" program/file-conversion back then.

If you cant get the Zune to work Id be tempted to put some of the music on a thumb drive and see how that goes. If it works move em all over (or an external drive)

there's diminishing returns at some point. 320k is "good enough" for most audio but with storage now being so easily obtainable, mp3 just doesnt make sense anymore. lossless files offer superior sound if your system is capable or reproducing it and you have enough storage space for it.

regarding bluetooth, slightly older bluetooth versions heavily compress music and you end up losing sound from around 13-15khz up, its like the sound falls off a cliff. most people wont notice, some will. either way, its lost sound. bluetooth 5 has been out for a while but lots of devices still use the older codecs so nothing changed except that you can now hear you lossy music further away than before.

I just stream it.

this is what audio enthusiasts have been battling and losing against for quite some time. unfortunately, convenience wins over quality 99% of time and its pretty easy to see why. hell, most stock car audio systems are incapable of producing the frequency range of good audio anyways so BT doesnt have any perceived shortcomings.

Actually I bought a couple FM-Modulators that hooks up between the car/truck antenna cable & the factory radio. Just tap into a switchable (+) and decent ground (-).
The box has two FM frequencies where I use the higher 88.9 or 89.5 FM

http://www.metraonline.com/files/products/INST44-FMMOD02.pdf

I have left-over Monster-Cable brand RCA-to-AUX [3.5mm] and I plug it into the ZUNE headphone jack.... instant music!

I gotta do this project TWICE, which involves partial disassembly of the front/center dash section. Then pulling whatever head-unit or module behind the display screen to figure out the radio antenna jack & special order "adapters".

......................................................................................................................................................................................................

I have two Samsung, 256GB - 300MB/s, USB 3.1 each loaded with about 200GB or so of music

[On the USB flash-drive] I can't seem to get the playlist files or commands to function though.... so I just let the Ford Display play the music in "random" mode.

Baby Boomers: Let’s talk shit about millennials until I need their help....They killed my cereal brand even though my generation is still large enough to sustain it.

What cereal?

What is a CD? JK, I have a binder packed full of old CDs...although I remember using cassette tapes too.

Currently pay for iTunes account, can download any song I want. Not expensive and its convenient.

My untrained ears didn't notice a difference in sound quality between the 2 sizes. The songs were organized alphabetically by song title automatically by the B&O system...which is a bit annoying. Fast forward a month and I have 1000 songs organized by title...meh. I like them in the order they were on the disc. I'll mess around with it and see if i can organize by artist.

Thanks for the help

I'd say for 99.99% of stereos out there, whether in a car or home, the lower quality audio file is fine. Those systems do not have the ability to play the tracks back with significant difference.

Hi-Fi is a big hobby for me, and with the right stereo anyone can easily spot the low quality audio. That said, it's also LARGELY dependent on the original recording.

As an added bonus, you get youtube premium, which means no ads!!! worth every penny. You also get google play music.

You're going to have to PM-me the website with the cpu program I can download to do that... I had a cpu program that I could download anything I want with the "share link" and would ask how do i want to save [mp3, mp4, FLV, and wmv etc etc etc]

Worked for about a year until around Thanksgiving/Christmas time last year.... then you tube did something where my program won't recognize the file now.

Every now and then they **** these programs up and I just move on to the next one. This is what I'm using now, the free version.
