That’s impressive. How are those turbos holding up for you? Awesome specs at the price.

They’re actually doing really well. Better than I thought they’d do to be honest lol. CXR advertises these particular units as being assembled and tested in the USA at their facility but who knows how true this is.

I’m running only oil to them and to my surprise they haven’t burned up yet.

When the motor goes in I’ll see how they like 20 psi. Maybe then they’ll show their true colors good or bad.

I do have a question, I don't belong to any other brand forums. Are there FORD guys that continually post on dodge forums? And if so, why?

I'd like to understand the mindset.

I’ve had a ton of mustangs. Came here when I bought my ‘04 cobra. Since then I’ve owned a few foxes, 2013 gt500, and my current raptor. My fastest cars are all foreign—rs3, rs7, and gtr. I’ve come close to buying a new mustang and turboing it. I’ve owned a ctsv, c6z, and charger hellcat. This site is one of the more brand diverse sites. I simply don’t have time to be on 7-10 different sites. I’ve enjoyed the hell out of every car I’ve owned and may someday get another mustang. When the site specifies that you can’t post non-ford content, then I’ll leave the site. If you call yourself a true enthusiast and find yourself bickering in this thread over a car that runs low 9’s with true bolt-ons, then you probably need to re-evaluate things in general

I guess I am just the odd man out. Isn't the redeye is suppose to be the handling versions??? I would rather see you expand on that instead of doing what the demon does. It is dumb IMO to make any and every variant fast in a straight line when the brand build a trim specifically for straight line.

Cool its fast in a straight line....welcome to 197( enter whatever year you want) show me a muscle car that gets me sub 10s and handles then you have my interest. If not you are doing the same thing since the 03/04 cobra ......

Yea yea yea but but but only xXxX dollars in mods and it hits x.xx 1/4mi times ....yea ok but it's 2020 I want more , I want you to show me 1/4mi time AND how it handles. ANYBODY can make ANYTHING fast in a straight line only...

uh.... no.

I often find myself bickering, it's quite enjoyable for me. I'll do some deep soul searching on this most important matter though

What the hell is a "true" enthusiast? What's a fake enthusiast? What does any of this arbitrary shit matter?

I'm a false enthusiast.

He never said fake enthusiast...I would imagine a true one is a person who enjoys and appreciates all cars...If it took you 10 whole minutes to search your soul, enough said...I would love the new GT500 or a Redeye but too old to spend that kind of money so I'll just drool from afar.

you’d be amazed how many people think one particular car company makes the best car and how that concept can apply to any car they would be in the market for. They can’t possibly imagine that another company makes a better car for the application they are looking at. To me, it doesn’t make sense.

the mag ride on my Chevy ss was second to none. It was that amazing

the dual clutch on my rs3 is pure genius

the top end, highway pull of my c6z was epic from 60-140mph

the stereo and styling in my rs7 is unlike anything any other company has

the charger was so easy to drive long distances in the “black key” mode. You’d never think it had 500hp or 707

I’ve never been in a car that runs low 10’s with less drama than my gtr. Rain, snow, or dry conditions it is the undisputed stoplight to stoplight king

Back when I was a diehard mustang fanatic, and couldn’t possibly imagine owning a dodge, or Chevy, let alone a Nissan, I’d be spewing my ignorance all over threads just like this.

Truth.

I cut my teeth on Fox Body Mustangs and couldn't imagine the idea of ever owning a POS Camaro. I still have friends that know me as Mustang Mike, lol.
Then when it came time to actually buy a car, I drove like 6 different 99-01 GTs (what a terrible time to be GT shopping!), then a buddy all but MADE me drive a 99 Camaro A4 and whoah....wtf just happened? It was amazingly fast compared to all the GTs I had driven.
Left the dealer in the Camaro, drove right to my buddy's house with his Mystic Cobra with 4.30s, radials, etc...and promptly dragged him all the way back to my house at every stop light. My buddy's were as shocked as me, and still didn't get it after I whipped each and every one of their Mustangs on the street. "its a shitty Chevy". LOL. Lets race.

Its 2020 and there are multiple 100% stock cars that can crack an 11 sec 1/4 mile, not to mention many easily in the 10s. I get some brand loyalty, but man people are missing out by being so short sighted sometimes.

Was in jest, as I suspect a power adder and all supporting mods to safely make power for a mid 9 second Coyote will require a good chunk of change.

Since you seem to fit the bill as a mid 9 second Coyote, can you share an approximate number of dollars invested to get you there?
I'll assume the 10 speed doesn't need the converter, so you can leave that cost out. Guessing the Procharger (or any good power adder) eats up 90% of the imaginary $8K budget we are working with here.

Tough question since people mod differently. I myself don’t really buy new parts much. I just kinda know what I want and wait for them to pop up in the used market. I bought a 4600 P1sc kit, I had $800 SP headers from before the blower, $600 Shelby manifold, $1100 Fore fuel system is really most of the power you need for a mid 9sec pass plus wheels/tires of choice. Some go welds, some go racestars, I went F14s. Might have been easier if I had gotten a D1sc blower instead of P1sc. But that’s ok. I enjoyed the road here. $1100 circle D 2C converter as well. Might be faster with a 3c or 4c but wanted good manners.

I could see a person spend 15000 on a turbo kit and another 2500 in a fuel system and keep it at a mild 10psi and run mid 9s. Doesn’t mean that it took 20k, he really just bought himself room to grow instead of just what was needed.

My comment wasn’t about money since different people do things their way. Was about needing 25psi. My P1sc was seeing about 12psi at 7600-7650

not at my post...
In the real world you get a much better deal on the Red eye than the Gt500. But i agree the GT500 is a much better car over all. I would much rather have that. But not at 90-100k which is the real world price OTD for those cars.

bingo...good luck getting that base 500 at msrp...the red eye on the other hand can usually be picked up under sticker.
