Hey guys,

About a month ago I installed FTBR diff bushings in the front and rear, everything went well. Car rides perfect cruising around but when I floor it and it’s not fish tailing it feels like the rear is on ice. It feels like the whole rear end is sliding around. So the car feels like it’s fish tailing but it’s not. It’s scary as hell lol. Any idea what that would be caused from? I never had this problem until I did the bushings. My car also has irs subframe bushings

I feel like an idiot after these responses but no, I didn’t get an alignment after putting the irs back in and I used all the stock bolts/nuts.

Also I never did anything with axle nuts so why would they require retightening?

I would still check them just to be safe. I almost totaled my car because of a loose axle nut. Granted it ended up being a half shaft issue, but it was still because things were moving in ways they shouldn't have.

Get a good 4 wheel alignment. You'll be amazed at the difference it makes.

Yeah those front bolts will make a huge difference.

Hole is 9/16 and has a 3/8 bolt now.

That’s a lot of movement

I went to Lowe’s got 2 grade 8 bolts

I’m surprised you didn’t seen foot notes on ftb site As these are needed

No idea. I have no idea what your car has been through. I do know that my car displayed similar behavior that you describe. My axle nuts were very loose, so I tightened 'em to spec (which is high, the junior woodchuck torque wrench won't cut it) and away went the weird rear end slipping and sliding around.
Also I never did anything with axle nuts so why would they require retightening?

Mine was doing the same. It was scary and I could feel my IRS swaying left and right...felt like a wheel was about to fall off.

I had the rear wheel bearings replaced, fixed my problems. I had a dealer do it because I didn't have a press at the house.
