They are pushing every business out of the state. Tents and deserts soon.

Can't tax yourself to prosperity and it is all out on display now from the great garbage pile that is California. In 5 years I think they'll start to wonder everyone else is in economic recovery and expansion, why not us?

Because you made sure you killed it off by your out of touch nonsense there cupcake, and the Feds better not even entertain the thought about a bail out, CA done this let them suffer and either fix it themselves or go on to total ruin for their stupidity.

this is going to KILL businesses even more. They did the same shit years ago and basically forced everyone to have a 2010+ motor, otherwise it would be worthless. Everyone will be leasing new trucks and all the owner operators will get ****ed.

What about the 12 or 14 states that have adopted Cali emissions? Does that mean diesel trucks can't transit the state? Seems like a clear case of interstate commerce interference to me.
Damn, I bet products sold and shipped to California are going to get really ****ing expensive.

Means fleets will just move their operational HQ to other states. My company is setting up operations in AZ and I know exactly why. We have most rigs that meet tier4 compliance but most our equipment can't get any more efficient. We'll register them in AZ and just use them in CA anyways. Probably move our business HQ there too for the tax breaks. **** CA.

Evidently trucking companies have unlimited money to buy replacement trucks.

Under guidelines approved Thursday, at least 40 percent of the tractor trailers sold in California would have to be powered by some form of zero-emissions technology by 2024. Medium-duty trucks, such as the Ford F-250 or Chevrolet Silverado HD, would be required to switch over 55 percent of their sales by 2035; and 75 percent of delivery trucks and vans would have to use zero-emissions powertrain technology by 2035, a point by which fully 100 percent of government fleets and last-mile delivery trucks would have to meet the target.

California shakes up auto industry, says all vans and trucks must be electric by 2024

Why dont the other 47 lower states just tell California to go **** itself?

Because other liberal states have adopted CA rules. The Feds are trying to do that, we'll see what happens. If Trump loses, regular old ICE going bye bye. Not even sure there will much of a place for hybrid's, the greenies are all in for all electric.

True but I remember how many conservatives were boogists and faltered and no show'd at covid lockdown protests and then the riots failing to push back. Doubt these truckers are any different, once their pockets take a hit they'll make the runs.

About 30% of NA goods come through ports in CA, I am assuming most of it is from CHINA. If you take the ports away would they be that high up in the worlds economy?

Probably sooner rather than later with this type of nonsense.

I always wonder just "how much longer will this last"? Seems like Democrat control over the state is unbreakable.

Says a lot about how weak, unorganized, and about the lack of messaging within the RNC.

Im sure there will be some loop holes. CA has big trucking transportation industry.

Just look at how many trucks are at the ports.

Still sucks to have to deal with, just more added cost to companies.

it will be a domino effect. more money for trucks, means more expensive loads. people will pay truckers from other states. either way Kali will lose. and newscum will just tax more like he always does.

Exactly! These idiots seem to do everything to drive up the cost of living and then blame everyone but themselves for the homeless population issues. I can't wait to leave.

If I was Mexico, I would make a deal with Trump to pay for the wall if the US helps build a dockyards capable of handling all of the shipping that comes into California with rail and highway connections to bypass Cali. Allow US marked shipping to be inspected and a tax office right there to take care of the paper work. Use the money generated to fund driving out the drug cartels. (In reality this would probably aid the cartels in moving their product, but why shouldn't free men be allowed to poison themselves if they want to.)
California is damn close to being a write-off. Let it die the death it has willed upon itself.
