West Coast Florida (Sarasota area) would be my personal choice. Actually my brother, who now lives in Allen, TX wants to move to Florida (Sarasota or Orlando areas).

I am leaning towards a place with a lake that I can buy a boat and wakeboard/ski on, since I grew up going to Havasu and Laughlin and have very fond memories of that.

Lets hear it, sell me on your state!

With certainty it is safe to say ANY red state is better than your current stomping grounds. If you need to be sold, I think there may be an issue in some capacity.

I’ve been to Columbus a few times at Jegs on E. 11th Avenue, my cousin got married at some venue up there. As well as the ford swap in the fall. I went with a friend of mine to Worthington a few weeks back to pick up a Jeep he was buying and drive his Ram back that city was nice.

If it were me I would go to Wyoming or South Dakota. If I was you with a baby on the way and family in SD I would go to Arizona. Arizona is turning blue but I think the trend can be reversed. Either way gtfo of CA asap.

I escaped NJ for PA almost 20 years ago but now it is turning blue with all the NY/NJ scumbags moving in. Thank God our State House is like 75% Republican or we would've lost the state. But I see the writing on the wall and have been priming my wife for a move out West.

For those who are recommending Hawaii, have you ever lived there?

Op, what island is her family from?

Had an idiot friend who went from Washington to Oregon to Hawaii. He and many of his friends were, in his own words, each like a "man child." 24/7 Moondoggy. One thing he did say was the cost of living was outrageous whether internet, electricity, bread, etc..,

I'm totally on the other side of the state about 115 miles NNE 25 miles south of Canton in Tuscarwas, surprised people have not come here demanding we change our name since we are named after a Delaware tribe word for the same river that flows through here, in fact the Tusc is the longest river in length even beating out the Ohio.

There was a book store in Worthington that was in an old church building, have no idea if it is still there or not.
