So I sold my home early this year, have been 'housesitting' for a family member since then, and am planning my next move to a 'Red' state. Im completely liquid as far as funds go, and it is very tempting to buy a house with cash.

It will be an uphill battle, because my wife (yep) is going to be having our baby boy (yep yep) by Thanksgiving Day, and her family is here in San Diego (and Hawaii) so I will have to do some serious persuading.

I ****ing hate whats happened to this once great state, and I don't want my kid surrounded by this horrible bullshit being passed off as 'normal'.

I am leaning towards a place with a lake that I can buy a boat and wakeboard/ski on, since I grew up going to Havasu and Laughlin and have very fond memories of that.

Lets hear it, sell me on your state!

If you need sold on freedom, then don’t move to a red state.

not at my post...
simple answer: AZ. San diego is pretty damn close. And if you live on the west side the lake is like 20-30 minutes away. Plus AZ is great for toys: boats, cars, bikes, guns, side by sides, etc. Only downfall: hot as balls. **** it, better than SNOW.

AZ is my backup plan if liberal faggits takeover Texas...

My parents spent a decade in the Dallas area, i really enjoyed visiting Texas and felt like i could live there. We are all from Arkansas though and while pretty, it’s also pretty boring. It’s tough to find a liberal around here though...and that is niiiice.

If i were you though, I’d probably be going to AZ ...seems to check all the boxes and keep you close enough to family. They are going to want to see that baby, and there really is nothing better to me than seeing how excited my little girl gets when her grandparents are over.

That governor y’all elected...shew...what a mistake. Full disclosure, I’m a Louisville native. KY no longer red. Just the rural areas.

Oh I agree, that dumbass is a cancer. We’d be better off if he doesn’t get re-elected. I’m in the red part of the state. Maybe we’ll get someone worth having in the next election. But I doubt I’ll leave this state, it’s my home.

Pick your poison.

I'm totally on the other side of the state about 115 miles NNE 25 miles south of Canton in Tuscarwas, surprised people have not come here demanding we change our name since we are named after a Delaware tribe word for the same river that flows through here, in fact the Tusc is the longest river in length even beating out the Ohio.

There was a book store in Worthington that was in an old church building, have no idea if it is still there or not.

People are petitioning to change the name of Columbus to Flavortown....stupid. Thomas Worthington (city of Worthing named after) was a slave owner. Suppose there must be talks to change that city’s name too.
I know the bookstore your referring too. It was on SR 161 between Worthington and Dublin. I think it closed a few years back.

Just a matter of time until all states are blue. Probably happen in my lifetime.

If the Republicans keep leaving their respective states and democrats are continually moving in, what then? What happens when there are no more red states to move to?

Posts and likes are not mine.

I also say Texas. Just don't move to west Texas. All the Mexicans here, where I live, make it feel like a blue state (Can't believe all the Beto bumper stickers around here).

Good thing is there are not enough Democrats here to flip the state. So, I get to enjoy the benefits of a red state and watch all the Mexicans get pissed when a Republican always gets voted into the governor's office ....lmao.....

Red FTW......

Isn’t Idaho getting a huge influx of CA liberals? Or is it CA conservatives fleeing CA? I am not sure. I know Colorado has been overrun. Sad to see that state go in the dump.

well my parents are both conservative and the other CA folk I know of that moved there are conservative. But idk what the majority are

Texas for sure. When it comes to housing you can get a lot for your money. I'm about 30 minutes outside of Houston and an hour and a half from Lake Livingston with Lake Conroe about the same. There is also Clear Lake which is about 30 minutes away.

Careful. A California conservative is still on the left compared to central state conservatives.
