Headlight/Fog light issue

Just upgraded my headlights and fogs. Went with sw lights pro hid kit and plug and play fog light kit. I love the fitment and low beams lol but it's def not "plug and play" mounting is required at least for this kit.
The HID pro came with a morimoto ballast and 2 morimoto relays along with a harnes.
I plugged everything in correctly but, the headlights won't turn to high beams. The high beam light for the dash comes on but the lights does not change. The only thing the high beam lever seems to be able to do is flash the low beam when the lights are already off.
Along with this issue my fog lights won't stay on. The lights will come on if I press and hold the button but on release they turn off. The fog light interior light does not stay lit unless it is held. I would love for the fog lights to come on with my low beams if at all possible but, just want a fix atm...
I am pretty much stumped on the headlights I triple checked my harness relays and connectors everything looked good. Maybe a blown fuse but, the high beam function worked before the light swap and, as I said the interior light still comes on.
Im thinking the fog light button it self is bad, the pin connector is bad, or the relay but, I am not sure. I am looking at lmr just dont want to waste the money on the wrong things.
Would love some help thanks y'all!

First off unplug the Foglight harness and see if your Headlights work correctly, low beam, high beam flash, high beam on. If that works then your issue is with the Foglight harness. If not swap the 2 outside pins on the relay harness connector that goes to the stock headlight harness. Morimoto relay harnesses come pinned incorrectly for Mustangs more often than not apparently.

When you look at that connector on the relay harness there should be 3 pins/wires, try swapping the outer 2. You can remove the pins with a pic, cant recall what the colors on these are and they may change depending on who makes the harnesses. Be very careful when you go to plug the harness back in, these pins are flimsy and you can miss one and still seat the connector.

The stock drivers side harness is wired as follows. The center is ground (pin 2 black), pin 1 light green/black is HI, pin 3 dark blue/light green is LOW. If you have a voltmeter you can check for 12 volts when the switch is in HI or LOW to make sure that side of the circuit is working.

Also check the fuse in the harness and give the relay itself a few good whacks with the back of a screwdriver, they can stick from time to time.

Have you tried the function with the stock halogen stuff??? You dont need to pull the housings or anything, just unplug the relay harnesses and plug a halogen bulb on the end of the connector and let it dangle. If everything works try one harness at a time until you know which is giving you issues.

*EDIT*
Foglight relay is the skinny one closest to the motor in the drivers side fuse box behind the battery.

That sucks! I've been eyeing some SW-Lights. They look pretty sick with matching fogs, DRL's & Snake logo engraving. I just got some new headlights from LMR in Jan and would rather use the the money on a VMP Cobra throttle body. If you don't mind post a pic of the lights.

Lights are definitely an upgrade. Wouldn't say SW lights is a bad option. Just would not call it "plug and play". Wish my fogs would stay on might just tape them down. Bad customer service just wanted to up sell lol.

99% sure you need to repin the plug that plugs into your oem headlight harness.
9004 and 9007 share the same plug, but are wired differently.
Google "reverse polarity 9004 to 9007"

The fog light function would work intermittently. I didn't have stock lights before these they were some weird halo things lmao. The High beam function did work with those though.
As far as the fog lights im really not sure but the head lights high beam problem is probably something with the pins... I talked to Sean from sw lights he also suggested switching the pins. I did this and nothing changed so, I am stumped

Another thing to check is the pins being loose in the connector. When you plug them in they push out the back side of the connector and dont make good contact.

They arent very tight in the connector when new and then you swap the wires by pulling the pins a few times they wont hold tight at all anymore. That caused me to have intermittent hibeams function.

I had loose pins and the wires being pinned wrong as well on my morimoto harness from SW lights. I have not been impressed with the quality of the morimoto connectors, plan on getting some better quality connector housings and re-pinning. The harness is great aside from that.

Yup exactly how I feel, harness is nice other then this pinning stuff.
Im going to mess around with it today. Do I need to re-pin the factory harness or leave that one alone? I have only changed the morimoto end.
Another thing, do you have your morimoto harness mounted on the drivers side?

I would leave the factory stuff alone unless its damaged, the morimoto harness and the way its made seems to consistently be backwards for this era mustang. My harness is going to the DS headlight as well by the way.

I had to replace the stock headlight and turn signal plugs a while back due to age and damage so I know there are better quality connector parts out there. What I used were very high quality, much better than the blue plastic plug I got with the morimoto harness for my SW lights. Just need to start searching for parts but my time for wrenching (playing with cars) is very limited.

Also haven't had much time to get under the hood sigh... If SW lights knows they are backwards they should change them and have the problem troubleshooted before the lights are in the customers hands imo.
I hate pins already broke one of them and had to replace it dont wanna go back in lmao...
