Yup, we tried voting for John Cox. But not enough of us to take the vote

Unfortunately with the Democratic strong holds of the bay area and LA I doubt you or I will ever see a Republican Governor again in either of our lifetimes. Additionally the spread of people leaving the bay area has gotten worse over the years. They are spreading further out beyond their close neighboring counties and subsequently changing the voting maps. From my perspective this started in Sacramento and stalled with the housing crisis years ago and has picked up again. In my area for example many homes are being bought up by bay area liberals with cash, I have coworkers who have sold their homes to these people so I know first hand. My wife and I in fact competed with a couple from San Jose for our current house who were offering cash. I have also noticed more frequent idiotic posts and responses on my neighborhood FB page by what I assume to be these same idiots accusing others of "white privilege" and just having "white people problems". My county used to be deep red but I fear it is on the edge of flipping.

Couldn't have said it better myself. If you are selling a home or renting out cali is great for making money. But as far as buying i think the prices are ridiculous. As you have stated that alot of people that lived in the bay have moved to all the outer areas. Solano county, contra Costa, Modesto/manteca. The traffic going at 430am from those ways comming to the bay is nuts now. Same going the opposite way at 3pm.

I've had the misfortune of being stuck in that traffic a few times in the last 3-4 years and it's absolutely insane! It's all because bay area house prices are through the roof and developers have bought up large chunks of land and are selling houses to what bay area people consider cheap so they'll commute to own a home. Now they are starting to look into more rural areas like mine and its horrible. I am still hoping my wife says she wants to move out of CA. If I wasn't married with kids I'd be gone.

I ended up back working in the bay end of last year. I had it good for the last 5 yrs mostly in sac and surrounding area so i was opposite of commute. But prior i was in the bay for 5yrs so i guess i came full circle lol.

I'm leaving the state of Ca. next week , our city is still conservative but many people moving here from Orange county are libs. They are fleeing the high cost of property there. The elections are rigged in that they can legally do ballot harvesting. Ballots can be counted up to weeks after the polls close, very much fraud involved. I doubt that there will ever be another conservative elected to a major seat in Ca. again. They passed a new law for all mail in ballots for the fall election as well, there will be people voting that are illegal and have been dead for decades. RIP California !

Spot on. The ability to harvest ballots and the population density of the bay area and L.A. will ensure that the Democrats never loose control of the state. Reading some of the reports of what happened with ballot harvesting during the last election was disturbing to say to least. Even if only 10% of what I read was true its still a massive problem. The high cost of living, BS laws, homeless problems and taxes are driving friends of mine out of the state. All of which are either republicans, libertarian or independents which further reducing the chances of the state ever flipping. Like I've stated earlier I'll never see a republican governor in California in my lifetime because its not really possible anymore.

As someone in trucking

you can’t even get companies to run electronically because they don’t want to spend $500 on an e log unit plus the $13 monthly cost

they think people will buy new trucks? Come the **** on....

key words in the OP is "sold in".. it doesn't say anything about operating in.. just like in Louisiana, people register their trucks in places like Minnesota to avoid regulations..

Most big companies are not gonna fool around. They have the E log in there trucks. The independent operator/owner are the ones to look out for.

Is it possible CA will only allow trucks to operate if they are registered (thus regulated) in California?

Would that violate interstate commerce laws?

exactly.. the OO with 4 trucks can’t afford to buy 4 new trucks.

those small guys that run under their own DOT are gonna get ****ed with all the regulations that are coming.

Destabilizing small businesses so the single conglomerate and government can control the industry.

Where are the restrictions on polluting shipping vessels to and from Cali?

People laugh at statements like this but those same idiots don't realize we genuinely have self proclaimed socialists and communists in our state and local governments.

Yup though nothing stopping the right from showing up with big rigs full of ballots to counter the left showing up with vans. If we stopped trying to play the "holier than thou" game and fought fire with fire it would end quick.
