Last year before we put our Sheltie “Peach” to sleep, our son made this. Finger paint and a frame from Hobby Lobby.

That is awesome, our vet does a plaster print of our dogs paws that had passed, I have my buddy Lord Byron's paw print tattooed on my calf, he was my favorite Bullmastiff we ever had.

That's an awesome idea. I just picked up my cat's ashes yesterday and part of it is they gave me a plaster of her paw print. Wasn't planning on a second tattoo but I guess I have a reason to do so now

That is very cool OP. The wife and I have put down 2 dogs and 3 cats in the last 20 plus years. Its so hard to do and breaks strong people very easily. No pets as of right now until we fully retire.

The vet did that for my wife’s dog. They took an imprint of his paw and framed it for her.

Nice. Next thing you need is to have a portrait of them made.
I have a paw print in some type of putty of my last two dogs. My vet did that for me before putting the dogs to sleep. I have them on my nightstand in my room.

When we had our pet put down and before they cremated her they took a plaster cast of the paw and embedded it into the cover of that container which holds the ashes.

It's amazing how attached we get to our pets...
