Appreciate feedback on SW headers and 3" exhaust

I have a 2007 GT500 with a stock exhaust, except for a set of KR mufflers -- which I think sound absolutely great. But the car has about 95K miles on it and I'm planning to upgrade to a built 5.8, headers, and a new exhaust. From what I've read, the Stainless Works headers sound like the best choice for me and that got me thinking about just doing a whole SW 3" catted exhaust, with X-pipe and their chambered Turbo mufflers.

Does anyone have any experience with this full system and, if so, how does the sound compare to a factory stock system with KR mufflers?

My rwhp goal with the new engine is ~725-750 and my understanding is that the SW cats hold up pretty well at this power level.

And one further note -- does anyone know if there's an interference issue between this 3" exhaust and a full Cortex suspension (torque arm and watts link)? Thanks!

I took my car to SW and they used my car in their GT500 H-pipe video.
I’d recommend them highly and I think the retro chambered mufflers (like resonators) sound great.

My friend had the SW setup on his car and his headers were cracked at multiple welds and the resonators were blown apart as well.

Not saying that is the norm, but that is what I have seen on a friends GT500

I had a full SW system on my 12 and loved it. As you know, it is not the cheapest option pricewise, however it is a solid system and sounds great.

While that’s nice and good to have recommendations you trust, most shops recommend the brand that has the best profit for them. If all 3 make a quality product but they make $100 more on company X, you’ll see their “preference” change.
Not a hard rule, but I like to get independent recommendations.
I currently run ARH due to they were the only ones with 2” primary and 3.5” collectors. I’ve now ran all 3 on different vehicles and feel like all 3 companies make a quality product.

My tuner highly recommends AR as the first choice, followed closely by Kooks.

Going with the tuner recommendations is normally best, since they will get the tune correctly for those modifications.

Correct me32; they don’t sell the headers. They do make $ when they can install quicker (fitment quality), and avoid losing money when they don’t have to do rework (build quality). Both were reasons they recommended ARH, specifically 1-7/8”. Bimini’s point is still very valid if you haven’t built enough of a relationship to know your tuner’s agenda, or lack thereof.
