personally i dont know what the big deal is w/ the coil packs mounted on the front. it's too much trouble to move them somewhere else and u can still see the wires and coil packs. hiding them elsewhere remote also poses problems w/ uninstalling. live with it or just switch over to COP cuz the effort to do it either way id say is probably about the same.

u can get a used set of COPs off ebay for about $120. if you end up relocating the coil packs you'll more than likely need to get a new set of wires that you will precut to size.

How's the car coming Jeremy? Bob still has mine.

I did the COP swap on one car and the other has the coil packs relocated to the back.

Best pic I have at the moment of relocated coil packs:

You just unwrap the wires from the harness. Not much to it.

That's a good decision. I really regret not getting my valve covers done while it was apart.

Not sure when he's going to be done. Hard to road tune with this crappy weather. I'm leaving for two weeks on Thanksgiving though so I doubt I'll have it back before then.

I have a question, if I were to do the COP conversion would the COP valve covers fit right on my motor or would I have to change anything ie: timing cover or heads.

Thats what I like to hear thanks. I think I will do the COP's because I was actually thinking about putting a MSD launch control in my car and it looks like every kit is COP friendly but not coil pack friendly??

Old thread I know but working on this set up as well now. Did you have to notch the coil covers at all to run the wire out? I’m using c heads with c head valve covers as well with the Power By SVT coil covers.

I did not notch mine, I ran the wires through the back where the cop harness normally goes. I do have 8mm wires though
