Just installed the Diode Dynamics XP 80 cool lights and now I have to replace the head lamps bulbs. They truly look dull compared to the new fogs. THEY ARE BRIGHT

Very straight forward install

I now need help getting a replacement led bulb for my headlamps that would mimic the look of diode dynamics XP 80 fog light bulb

Has anyone replaced the OEM LED bulb and if so what did you replace it with

I bought 5000K LED fogs for my 2008 and the fogs now make the my oem 2008 4300K HID's look a little Yellow. I have found replacement 5000K HID's to replace my 4300K's, but have not pulled the trigger on $125-$200 to do so.

I am assuming......since your GT500 is a 2007 that you do not have HID's since that option was not added until 2008? If yours are not HID, the difference between those fogs and your oem headlights will be even greater.....I have seen LED replacement bulbs for those oem non-HID headlights.....<<I think?

This is the only picture I have of mine with the lights on in the dark.....That factory HID is not quite as "White".

The Clear Park/Turn lens has a 5500K LED switchback bulb that is White like the newer cars when the parking lights are on, and switch to Amber when the turn signal is applied.

a slightly different angle....

I bought those exact ones a little over a year ago. They worked well until about a month ago. One of the pins on one of them disintegrated to green powder. I am working on warranty-ing them right now.

They are suppose to have a three year warranty correct?
You have seen my fog lights in the picture above using diode dynamics bulb.

based on your first hand knowledge, how well will the headlamp color match up with the new fog lights?

Do you have a part number for that kit?

They are lifetime warranty. I just got an email back this morning and they gave me the option of not having to ship in my defective bulbs and have them test them. They have a new upgraded version but I have to pay $14.25 per bulb for the new ones, which is what I am going to do. I am not sure if they are quite as white as those H11's fog lights in those pictures but if not, they should be really close.

Robert. I like that a lot!! Do you still have the model # and manufacturer for that switchback bulb?

I believe, but am not positive that I bought the White/Amber switchbacks from SuperBrightLEDs. <They have vehicle specific boxes that you check, and then all of the bulbs that they offer for a specific vehicle are shown. I do the CANBUS LED's in all locations where available so I don't have to deal with added resistors.

I have seen the White/Amber switchbacks on eBay also, but I am concerned about quality when I see the cheap prices. I have had good results with SuperBrightLEDs.

Might you have feedback on your recent light purchase?
I have an 08 and very interested in these.
Thank you.

love them but you will need to change your main headlights unless you have the HID's

First here are the fogs I bought from diode dynamics

Fog Light LEDs for 2007-2014 Ford Shelby GT500 (pair)

I went with

H13 Hi/Lo Dual Beam LED Headlight Conversion Kit

The lights match perfectly but the install wasnt simple as it should be

I had to play to get the 3 prongs from the bulb to fit the OEM connector. Its a tad off and it could be the batch of bulbs I got

they also wouldnt "click" in place on the OEM connector. One tab broke on the OEM snap connector so I just used zip ties to keep the connectors together. The light bulb however does match the new fog lights perfectly so I am keeping them

I was thinking DD offered a Pure White 5000K LED fog for our cars, but in that link I only see 6000K, which gets a slight Blue to it and 3000K, which has a lot of Yellow and is probably close to the oem color level of the incandescent bulbs.

Here is the car with the new headlight bulbs and diode dynamics fog light bulbs

As stated above diodes stuff fit perfectly but the HE LED headlight bulbs werent perfect but eventually got them to fit

what I like which is why I am keeping them is they match the fogs almost perfectly and its a beautiful bright white
