They still have that issue 20yrs later?
Inherent issue a solid front axle will never escape once things wear out a bit. I've experienced it really bad in a newish F350 and in a couple different JK's

Still waiting on that Coyote Raptor....

Me too, I can't wait to have a truck that is the lesser of the two performance wise.....just in the name of sound. It would be like buying a scat pack instead of a PP mustang

I am 100% getting a 392 wrangler when they're available. Broncos look good and are probably great, but I have been driving wranglers for 25 years. This is exactly what I want.

I would say not a solid axle problem. I would assume design, or shoddy flimsy parts. No problems in my 84' J10. Never been through the axle to rebuild anything. Only new leaf springs and u bolts, steering stabilizer.

Considering the 3.5's barely make it past 100k miles without turbo or timing chain issues, sign me up for the V8 please

Some of us don't live car note to car note and keep our cars past the warranty

I have not seen one single EcoBoost failure out of everyone I know. I have however seen a 5.0 go in for excessive oil use.

Ford is such an embarrassment. 2L motors in the Bronco is laughable. I think women will be driving the bronco and the men will be driving the 392 Jeep. How hard would it have been to put the 5.0L in the Bronco Ford???? Pull your head out of your ass before it’s too late!!!

My Bro ran a Kia dealership down in Indy, they had a monthly turbo replacement on Ecoboost trades. Just started to factor it into the value of the trades it was so common. Owners rarely knew about it.

my brother had nothing but trouble with his 2013 ecoturd f150..transmission, misfires, timing chain etc...he ended up trading it in after 70-80K miles.

The purpose of a car manufacturer is to make/sell cars. Those 2L Broncos will be bought by people that just want a Bronco and only care about gas mileage (yes, there are people like that). I bet the 2L Bronco will (ultimately) sell well to car rental companies.

I hope Ford rolls out a Coyote Bronco, but I will understand if they don't.

New Jeeps exteriors are largely close to the older ones but the interior got a nice refresh.

A 392 Jeep does sound appealing if in that market.

I completely understand the reasoning for the 2L motors as much as I completely don’t understand how this Bronco does not have a 5.0L option.

All I can do is shake my head in disbelief. The day I go to my Ford store and check off a 2L engine in an order form is the day I have lost my mind.

Agreed, FCA has sold a zillion Jeeps with a V6. The 392 and Coyote fans are a small group compared to what they need to sell to keep the vehicles in production.

Meh,

Wranglers have been 6's for a long long long time. It offered more grunt than the 4-bangers with only an ever slight drop in fuel economy. The old 6 was also lighter then old V8's helping keep the weight off the nose.

Today Jeep has a powerful and torqy V6 but also the regulation friendly I4, a diesel and now a V8.

They have their bases covered.

The flip side is Ford Broncos always had V8's and that was part of the appeal, it was up one size on the market from the Wrangler.

Either way, marketing blunder but one that was expected from Ford.
