A move I wish would’ve done now. There’s two in my town and they’re sexy af. Jet stream blue and atomic orange.

Pick your poison.

There is a dude on the vette message board selling an AO with ZR1 trim package that I want. He wants crazy money for it though.

Love my C7Z... If you need more than 650 hp, have the $$ then get the C7ZR1 but if you wanna save some cash then get the Z06 and put a couple thousand in it and call it good. If you're gonna track it then get some cooling mods but for a nice cruiser/bruiser get the C7Z06.

You have a wide budget if you're considering a C5Z ($15K) and a C7ZR1 ($130k) lol.

IMO, find a nice C6Z and send it to RPM for their stage 5 install and call it a day. You will have used only a fraction of your original toy budget, and will have a solid 600+whp NA monster. Put whatever you have leftover in investments, guns, ammo, another toy.

Either the C7ZR1 or Gen V viper. Personally I’d rather have the viper and that’s what I’m going for next. That said, either car is going to hold good value and provide a very capable platform.

What say you @Klaus??
Did you make a decision, or still thinking on it?

The only qualm I have would be you saying it's "overpriced for what you get." See all of the reasons I listed, especially that it has the best resale value. It might be the highest cost of entry, but will retain its value better than any of the other choices. Also, it's a performance bargain when you consider it beat the new Ford GT's lap time at VIR when they were flogging it for 24 hours during durability testing.

I see where you are coming from. C7ZR1 is for sure a crazy value when you consider you have to spend another $50k to touch it. But it so much more expensive than a C7Z which itself is a stupid value. If I wanted to stick to the track a C7Z/Z07 is 99.5% of a ZR1 for $40k less. If I wanted to stick to the strip a C7Z w/ pro charger and fuel system will destroy a ZR1 and I would still have $30k leftover.

@tones_RS3 I am leaning hard toward a H/C/I C6Z. C7Z is a close second. Still thinking about Gen5 Viper or maybe a factory five 427 cobra. Latter might be a bit too rad for me at the moment.

lots of different price ranges you're considering lol.

I would cross off the camaro off the bat. They're certainly a good platform, though I'd personally rather have a vette.

c7zr1 would probably be my top pick, though I personally think they are a bit over priced even in the used market. Realistically you could get much more out of a c7z06 with some mods thrown at it. But it still won't be a zr1... depends on if you wanna pay all that extra for the badge.

Since you already have a gt500, I wouldn't go with another mustang, personally (life is too short to stick to one brand, in my opinion).

I wouldn't go with a c6, little too dated for me. Amazing cars back in the day, and still are. but I'd prefer a c7 over the c6 personally. Like the looks more.

If you are itching, I'd probably go c7z06 on your list, but if you can wait, why not see what the c8z06 has to offer? If you're looking at 6 figure ball park considering c7zr1's, I'd also heavily consider an r8 v10

Very good taste. Like all 3. If I wasn’t so attached to my stampede; I’d thin them out for a C6Z. H/C/I/E LS7 and you have a N/A monster.

Thanks for feedback. Waiting for C8 may be on the list. I should mention GTR may be on the list too. I looked at a NISMO a few weeks back but they seem overpriced (although hold value like a mofo). I had a bad experience with Audi a few years back and will not come near them anymore. Probably unjustified but when they break they BREAK.

Yeah I've heard the same about Audi's, so don't blame you on that one. GTR's would be solid. Agreed that nismo's may be overpriced but yeah they do hold their value better. Would be a solid platform for sure. So long as you don't mind not rowing gears, definitely not a bad way to go. If you live somewhere with snow I imagine it'd be a fun car.

And the exterior... This car is 1 of 1...

Had two Factory5's, one with a 302 and one with an aluminator 427 we put a gear vendor and a 3sp auto under. I never got to drive the 427 as it was my dads and he passed away and my evil step mother sold it before I could drive it but dad said it was dope.

I still think the C6Z is the best looking vette. Too much going on in the newer cars for me. C7Z prob second. I see a couple C7ZR1s around and it’s a little busy for me.

I know people talk about the interior and all but that’s never been a huge sticking point for me. That’s just me though.

There’s a white C6Z on bigs and littles running around here and I think it looks perfect.

C6ZR1 is there too but not sure on the value.

2015+ z28, very good track car, rides harsh but you want a toy. Mild mods get you to 525 rwp.
De badge it, change the Wickerbill out and you have a semi sleeper
