Can the new Bronco stack up against the Jeep Wrangler?

Those pictures are lame as ****.

Edit: just watched the video, the video is lame as **** also.

I get the point and application of a rear dig but them doing a little e brake slide is ****ing weak.

Yeah, it wasn't anything too exciting there but I posted so everyone could at least see it in action.

According to the guys who have run that trail often, you should expect body damage if you try that on 33-35s, even a bit on 37s.

All 3 did make it though.
You talkin jeep or bronco? Ive never been to that side of the country with mine, but would love to.

I’m thinking an off-road company needs to design some metal flares ASAP!

Also, does anyone know how wide these axles are?

For either.

It's apparently expected to damage vehicles a bit on the Rubicon.

Also, the aftermarket is going to be stupid on this thing.

You wouldn’t want metal flares for off roading.

tell that to poison spyder, ace, metalcloak, dv8, nemesis, artec, etc lol.

i've loved mine and they have saved me twice from body damage, they hit before the door/fender does. they're aluminum, but pretty stout. MCE does/did make some flexible plastic ones that people like also though.

Yea, maybe for the mall or parking lot weekend show... lol (exaggerating here).

Are you talking about flares or body armor? If you crawl hard enough you will find that stiff metal flares would either jam you up or get ripped off (would become a liability). Flares aren’t armor. Armor is armor. Flares gonna flare!

More importantly, I could be wrong, but I’m not anticipating the Bronco’s flares to be like the wranglers. Don’t think they will mount the same way. They look like they are just clipped on to the body...

I do like your Jeep tho. Thing is nice!

thanks, appreciate that.

i could definitely see there being a downside to them in certain situations, seen a lot of plastic jeep fenders ripped off. i've laid my jeep over on mine twice and was glad they were there. but on the flip side, they're stronger than the fender they're attached to(nutcerts into paper thin ksheet metal)...kinda didn't torque driver front lugs one time and it flew off at 45mph...flare held up it's end of the bargain, fender did not lol.

my whole point was thinking the side of that bronco going down the rubicon might could've benefited from some metal...whether in the form of a flare or fender idk, no idea how they attach and it may not even be possible. just something hitting besides the damn door!

I guess we shall see how they attach. I just don’t anticipate them to have the same sturdy mounting style as the wrangler (I feel that the wrangler is and will be the more hardcore off-road vehicle).

I'm almost positive they attach with push pins so they can be pulled off without tools on trails.

B&P overall has a bunch of errors with packaging and limitations that don't really make any sense. Pretty unimpressed so far, hoping they resolve some of the issues or give some reasoning on some of the exclusions. With what I was able to get working the wife's badlands is going to be ~$57k

Actually I was wrong...Looks like if you try to add the Sasquatch to a manual...it requires you to go to the auto...
I'm assuming that will get fixed eventually.

Although its odd...the 10sp is a $1595 option...but when you add the Sasquatch to a manual truck and it requires the 10sp, it only increases the price by $795 (shows $5790 total increase, Sasq is $4995 by itself)

With the power rating bump on the 2.3(on premium fuel), looks like even the 4cyl should be super competitive.
4dr 2.3 Bronco 7sp manual: 300hp-325lb/ft, 4500lbs
4dr 3.6 Wrangler 6sp manual: 285hp-260lb/ft, 4449lbs

Finally some footage of a manual equipped Bronco.(Badlands edition) Unfortunately the driver offers no commentary, or very aggressive throttle action...but it looks like it pulls pretty good, has a slick shifting trans and a nice cabin.
The exhaust note sucks...I'd almost rather they had an option for fake V8 sounds through the speakers...I'm old enough I don't need to blast everyone outside. Cause damnit, the experience would be way better with V8 soundtrack....
