Another "what's it worth" thread. I'm really, really, REALLY trying to keep the car but I'm hitting a wall with car storage like mentioned in my recent thread in Roadside.

2003 Zinc Yellow coupe

39,850 miles

I've owned it since the summer of 2008 and I think I'm the 3rd owner. I have to check the Carfax for specifics.

Only mods are a Hurst shifter, BBK long tube headers, & Borla catted-X catback exhaust. These were all on the car when I bought it. I haven't modified anything.

I had it dyno'd a few years ago and it put down 410 HP/402 ft-lb.

I've never tracked the car or beat on it. Car runs like a top and sounds awesome with the exhaust.

Its been garaged since I've owned it & hasn't seen rain or snow.

A/C blows nice & cold.

Over this past winter, I did the following maintenance:

-Flushed coolant
-Flushed intercooler
-Changed engine oil/filter
-Changed trans fluid
-Changed supercharger oil
-New fuel filter
-New spark plugs
-New inner belt
-New outer belt
-Greased tie rod ends

It needs tires but I'm planning on putting them on prior to selling.

I'd give paint an 8/10. There are a few chips but overall very good for a 17 year old car with 40K miles.

I'd give the interior a 9/10. There is a little bit of wear on the driver side seat bolster but that's it.

What do you think it's worth?

I think the SVTP grand masters are going to request some pics in order to comb through the finer details. Color of seat inserts, machined or chrome wheels, holes in the front bumper for a plate, the bolster wear you mentioned...etc.

My two cents: Given that it's pretty close to stock, I think that helps the potential price. I'd say something like $24-25k. If it's got the dark inserts, chrome wheels, no holes, and very light bolster wear, maybe more like $26k The downside: ZY isn't a highly sought after color, unfortunately. Kind of a love-hate thing. Good luck!

All ZY cars were grey seat inserts and satin wheels I believe and are in this case.

Agreed on the ZY coloring situation.

Thanks for the feedback.

As nice and clean as it may be, it’s going to take the right buyer to sell it too. ZY... The color speaks for itself. SY on the other hand...

I'm glad someone else installed the headers. I've read what a PITA they can be. Pulley is stock and the cover is in the trunk currently. Haven't put it back on since doing maintenance over the winter.

I mix up SY and ZY every damn time. My mistake on the chrome wheel option.

Condition appears real good in the pics. Great job taking care of it.

ZY not a favorable color. Get ready for the questions on why it has a stock pulley, stock air inlet, stock air box.......but long tubes. Anyone with knowledge of these cars isn't going to believe that's the way it has always been under the hood.....and then they'll ask where is the handheld for the tune.

If the motor checks out and it test drives fine, I'd say list it for 23k-24k and take 21k-22k if it gets offered.

Good points on the pulley/long tubes thing. Honestly, it never crossed my mind.

When I bought it, I checked for other mods or evidence of mods to see if it was "returned" to stock before selling. I think it's plausible given the stock pulley and a previous owner not wanting to deal with the exhaust again to put stock manifolds back on but I don't see where anything else looks like it was modified and there was no handheld tuner in the mix in the sale.

The dyno pull from years ago was more to confirm A/F ratio and a stock tune which appears to be the case. The thing is factory pig-rich and based on the dyno numbers, it looks stock.

Thanks for the feedback.
