Hey guys, I'm working with Kook right now on a custom set of headers for the 4.6 based modular cars.. As aftermarket ECU's, bigger blowers, more compression, more rpm, more cam is the new norm we need bigger headers.. I have a big group of people on IG that are interested in a private msg group. If you're interested please post up here with you Screen name and I'll add you. This is for builds north of 1000rwhp.. which is the new norm it seems like.

Please let me know!

What about larger displacement with 700-800hp? Those set ups need to move some air too.

I'm interested but will these even fit without rubbing the hell outta everything?

My 1 5/8 kooks seem super tight already. Obviously aftermarket k is a must with this setup

it'll be built around a tubular.. look at how much room there is with a tubular.. pipes would be routed differently.

Chris, now would be the time to go turbo :) Good luck, I've enjoyed seeing your car evolve over the years... Sounds like you're continuing to take it farther!

Yea I know. It wouldn't really be for me, it would be for the future enthusiasts. I haven't heard shit from Kooks.. So who knows if it'll happen.

Thanks though man! I'm looking forward to this fall when it cools off. The new pulley should be fun, and I'm going to get some rear end work done so I don't snap this 8.8 outta the car.. Maybe I can touch a 1.1 60ft

Ha I’m still on stock manifolds for the time being. Blower Cams. 10:1 mild port b heads, Hogan manifold. No clue what it will make on good fuel.

Kooks is being stupid and won't return any of my emails. I dropped this project.. Right now the best thing you can do is 1-7/8" and see if they'll do a 3.5" collector

I got lucky with my 12 GT and had American Racing build me a set of 2" headers to 3.5" collectors. They makes headers for the gt500 with that setup so it worked out for me

I talked to ARH about doing this they said to drop off the car to their shop and theyll do it. I just sold the Kooks 1-3/4-3 and got 1-7/8-3 for my Max Effort 3.2 build

Maybe I’ll give ARH a call. But I’m honestly going to go turbo in the next year lol

I prefer american racing headers. we use them to do stuff at my job. I live a half hour away from them which is cool. Funny thing is, my tuner at mustang magic, told us cobra guys to go turbo 17 years ago haha. He said watch, all of you are going to jump on the next best blower, then sell it for the newest and greatest, and you are all going to be stuck at around the same power lol. I should have bought the old hp twin turbo kits that everyone said sucked on the forums. meanwhile, two of my friends had them on there mustangs, no issues, no problems, and one cobra, went 168mph blowing up...... bc of a bad injector. still wodered what it would have trapped if that didnt happen

Yes and no. 17 years ago blowers would get you 600. Now with e85 and the new blowers guys are making 900+
