Took my 2019 RS5 coupe to the dragstrip to get some baseline passes today before I start modding it...

100% stock, 548 miles on it, 1/4 tank of 93... DA was 2,423 per dragtimes, my weather station showed slightly higher...
DA Calculator - Density Altitude Calculator Thompson Drag Raceway - DragTimes.com

First pass, car ran great and shifted flawlessly and I knew it was a fast time... Drove around and got the slip...

1.6404 60ft
4.7761 330ft
7.4031 1/8 mile
92.88 1/8 mph
9.6667 1000 foot et
11.6078 1/4 time
116.19 mph

I am very impressed with the stock ET and trap, I was honestly hoping for 11.7-11.8 at 115ish. Conditions were good but not great.

Made two more passes an 11.65 at 115.30 and a 11.70 at 116.50. Spun on the last run slightly as the sun was going down and it was a little slick. Decided I was happy with the 11.60 and headed home...

Will be sending the ecu to APR either late this week or next week and will be back at it in the next few weeks, hoping for very low 11's on tune only.

These cars are super impressive.
You'll love it with the tune.
I've had the pleasure of driving several APR tuned vehicles lately and they all run great.

We had an RS7 here for development for a while, and then we sent it off to the APR facility for final development...I do hope it makes its way back down here :)

Awesome looking cars.
Very impressive for a stock car that's only a 5 cylinder. Awesome. Gonna be beast with a tune.

Aren't they V6 turbo ?
I think RS3 and TTrs are the only Audi with 5 cylinder engines

Correct... The TTRS and RS3 have the I-5, I have a TTRS also... It's a 2.9L TT v6 car... With tune alone on E85 or race it'll see 100+ peak HP / 120+ peak tq bump... I'd love to see 10.99 in great DA with tune alone not sure it'll happen... Don't think this motor has the potential of the I-5 at least not at this point... Much better car in my opinion vs the haladex ttrs/rs3 cars, in pretty much every other way though.

So smooth and effortless. Reminded me of watching a Tesla launch. Those RS5s are really nice.

I watched your videos. Why aren't you using the LC ?

The car supposedly has LC, keep in mind it's a true auto, IE has a TQ converter... I didn't get the manuals yet as the dealer had the car for 7 months and they had to order me a set... lol Anyway, it won't build boost and it acts weird if you hold it at an rpm, so based on my limited street tests the best was to hold the brake down and mash the gas and then dump the brake around 2500ish rpm... APR has it stall to 3500 and build full boost so I'll be cutting low 1.5x 60's like my S4 and TTRS do which will help a ton...

Nice! coupe or SB? I got mine for 23.3% off + $2K loyalty money so it was hard to pass up on. Paid 66 and it snickered for 87. Rides very nice and handles well for what it is, love the new tech and virtual cockpit, system is decent, etc. I'm liking it so far... Just need to make it faster... lol
