Interesting how people are all over the map with what they expect of Covid. My friend is running the Covid clinic at University of Pennsylvania Hospital in Philly. They never hit capacity, Temple Hospital did for a period of time. He advised I make a real effort to avoid catching it because it can be a scary virus. Everyone I know who thought they had it back in the winter and was tested for prior exposure got a negative result.

I only know two personally that had it, so far, 1 ended up in the hospital briefly, she's older, mid 50's. The other is a good friend. Healthy guy, tough, military, 34. Put him on his ass for about 11 days. Left him with a dizziness and lingering cough that did clear up. He got it from a co-worker who already had it once before during the initial outbreak.

Supposedly there is a mild strain and a harsh strain. That would help explain why some people have it easy and others don't.

I've known a few people who either have had it or someone in their family has had it.

A friend of mine's wife had it and was sick for a couple of weeks. Lost sense of taste and flu like symptoms. My friend and the kids never showed symptoms.

A co-worker and his wife and kids all got it. The wife needed breathing treatments and took several weeks to clear up. Everyone else had mild symptoms. Kids had fever for a day or two.

Another friend of mine had two uncles get it and die from it. I don't know what their health was like before that or how old they were.

The girl that cuts my hair got it and had very mild symptoms.

Yeah it feels like the flu. having nausea since Saturday Cough sore throat, the thing that sucks the most is this damn loss of smell and taste. I don’t get full because I can’t taste or the signal to my brain is interrupted. Or some things just taste bitter.
I had a bad case of flu in January 2018 and I did not want to eat anything. All I ate and drank was bananas and water. Lost 15 pounds. It really sucked. Good luck getting better!

Man that really sucks. I have been reading because I was worried how long smell and taste would take to come back.
My stepfather slipped / fell and hit the back of his head on his brick driveway about 10 years ago. He lost his sense of taste and smell permanently after that and died in 2015 of lung cancer.

Mom got a call from the doctor today she tested positive. Got it from a teacher she works with. The school has like 25 faculty members in quarantine at this point. She has been feeling bad for about 5 days now, says she feels like she has a bad sinus infection. She's 56 and has a compromised immune system so hoping for the best but I think she will be alright.

Sorry to hear, I wish her a swift and full recovery. I'm sure all of SVTP does too.

How many has had the nasal test for covid? I had to get tested Friday and thought it was odd that the first thing the nurse did was had me tissue when she approached my car window. Wasn't so odd when she stuck that stick up my left and right nostril.

What made you subject yourself to that nose rape?

lol, thats exactly what it was. My niece works at Kroger and came in contact with a coworker who had it. My niece tested positive and I had been around her. I notified my manager and our policy requires us to be tested and quarantine for 14 days after exposure. I tested negative and can return to work Monday.

I’ve had the test done about a month ago, she shoved that damn thing up both my nostrils. I had a 102 fever for a day or so that wouldn’t quit. I had a teledoc appointment and she wanted me to get a test done. Came out negative and I think it was a bad sinus infection.

I had to do it myself, I think it's worse like that.

I am pretty sure it is just because everyone's immune system reacts differently.
differently. Doubt there are multiple strains.
Whether there are or arnt multiple strains at the moment, there eventually will be.... COVID19 is structured just like the common cold, only more aggressive, and it can mutate. Thats why I laugh at these supposed "vaccines", because once they finally get a vaccine for this strain, there's going to be another one that pops up.
