@Venom351R Looks like the IRS bolt is stock bolt but the head has been ground down for tire clearance.

Thanks, I'm planning on getting a low clearance IRS bolt when the IRS is dropped to redo the bushings in the rear

Nice! Nothing like some nice sticky wide meats at the rear.

I fully agree!!! So far they have been great

Any impressions with the new skins?

I just rolled the rear fenders yesterday so haven't got around to driving it much yet, maybe take it out today. These 28's are a bit big so not sure if I'll keep them (since the tall 3.55 gearing hurts me already) for long before going to a 305/35/18. Pep Boys bought me these so I'm just going to try them for a bit and see if they'll work. Here's the current look:

1/2" spacers on the rear gives me plenty of IRS clearance.

Previously I was asking about the height. I run 305/35s and not sure if I could go taller. I’m rolled but on HR sports. I get very light rubbing where the fender meets the rear bumper cover on heavy bumps if I have a passenger.

Can’t imagine 40s, let alone 45s, not rubbing

I have Eibach Pro Kit springs in the rear which don't drop much as much as the H&R Race or Sport springs. If these end up rubbing too much I will sell them used and just get the 305/35s.

@JetmechF16 any tips you could share for rolling the fenders? I'm getting a bigger rear tire soon and will more than likely have to roll the fenders on mine. I have access to a proper Eastwood fender roller so I'm hoping that will help. I'm always open to advice from guys who have done it.

Not hard, easy to do just takes time, heat, heat, and more heat. I kept my fender lips around 140-170 degrees and that seemed to work great. When you are setting up the roller angle, start off with a shallow angle first to get things going, getting more aggressive with the roller as you go. Biggest thing to remember is it will take many many passes to get the double-layered steel to move, you won't get it in one shot. Take your time and reheat every few mins.

Tightened up my shifter bolts. Noticed the shifter felt loose randomly the other day. I figured maybe the two bolts that hold the handle to the actual shifter had loosened over time. Nope! It was the ones from the shifter to the trans. Two on the passenger side were backed out a couple threads and the two driver's side were finger tight. Haven't been in there in years so this may be something that needs to be checked periodically.

Just had the same issue a few weeks back, took a few others advice and added some blue locktite when tightening them back down seems to be holding well.

Finally got it out a couple weeks ago. Going to do a 3 day “Drag week” that the local track is putting on due to the cancellation. Decided to run it on motor so I’m gonna throw 4:10’s at it for the weekend see how it reacts.

Right on!

Took mine out last week! First time since September! Feels like a new car every year!
Yep, hard to believe how much fun these things are. Tires thumped pretty good till they warmed up. It was odd with all the exhaust and trans noise compared to driving my pick up. I've gotten used to all the nannies in the truck that the car doesn't have. Sit a hell of a lot lower too. lol
