I've been on Welds for the last year and a half. I forgot how much different and better (in some ways) that street wheels are.

I'll be more likely to get the car out for an overnight somewhere now, as I'll be able to drive in rain and won't have to worry about Alumastars/17" beadlocked RTS's getting stolen in a hotel parking lot either.

I've had a similar design in the past and sold them. The only set of wheels I've ever regretted selling. I'm hanging on to these.

The overall look is killer. The finish and size go really well with your paint! Nice choice.

Nice setup although I do not like 20s on S197s. I had similar on mine and it just never looked right to me.

Thanks all!

Brett - I can report back on that now. Mine is a. 6R80 car (I'm on Tapatalk, so I don't see signatures and am not sure if mine will be seen) with a stock converter. Add to that, a VMP Gen 3R with 63mm (2.4") / +5% pulleys and it hits like a ton of bricks at wot. I can accelerate pretty quick, but on concrete, I tried rolling into it in second and as soon as I went wot, it blew the tires off. I have yet to try a third gear roll.

I may play with reducing timing to tame it on these, just to see how it would be. I'll likely go back to where I am. The throttle response is razor sharp when I put any kind of load on it, and that's intoxicating. Lol.

Good stuff thanx. I can definitely see how the throttle response is razor sharp tho. I bet that makes for a fun street car experience.

Thanks all!

Car looks great! I myself recently went to a 19” wheel with those 555r2 in the back and sold my 20” velgens with invos....tell you what I don’t even want to put track wheels on, that’s how much I enjoy driving it!

I've been on the Nitto nt555r2 305 35 19 for a couple months and I really like them. I'm about 650rhp with a vmp gen2. First time I can full throttle in second gear and it holds that made the car feel so much better.

Looks perfect, people were saying don't get 20s for these cars. Once I got them I think the look is much better than 19s. The 20s fill out the wheel perfectly while having just the right amount of side wall.

I have a very similar setup I'm lowered all fours corners 1.5ins on BMR handling springs with 315 35 r20s on 20x11s and 275 35 r20s on 20x9s. The 315 35 fits like an absolute glove.

You guys flatter me. Ha ha. No really, thank you for the kind words. I feel I "nailed it", but it feels good to hear it from your peers.

Slow Poke - I agree. I actually looked at 19's as well. When I selected appropriate widths, I couldn't find aspect ratios to get the height I prefer, which is 27.5" - 28" and keep front/rear heights within 1/2" or so. I like 20's best anyhow, so it worked out well.
