Hey everyone, figured i'd post a thread with some pictures of my recent upgrades done from this summer right before RMRW (rocky mountain race week)

Basic rundown of the car:

4.6 cobra engine, weisco pistons, arp throughout
holley efi
s480 single turbo
SRA
4r70 with mvb ptc converter
Power steering/powerbrakes/power everything/AC retaining car

Anyways, put car onto the lift to do some general maintenance before race week, ended up finding all sorts of boost leaks/cracks in welds on the on3 single turbo kit I had been runnning for years, decided to pull off the entire hotside and upgrade the turbo to an s480 from the 76/75 that was on the car, upgraded to some custom hotside, moved the intercooler/radiator forward to help everything fit. Super happy with the upgrades and how well the turbo kit did. Getting a new converter for the car (one in it was slipping 18%) so only ended up running an average of 9.5x at 147ish mph spinning it to 8200rpm at 8000da average so happy but lots of room for improvement and will update this post soon, hoping to break into an 8 this year with boost/spray

Thinking upgrades for this winter need to be a sullivan intake manifold upper/lower and some Todd Warren custom spec'd cams to get this thing really singing for me

I wish it was one of Jose's, its actually an s480 off a John Deere combine that a buddy had sitting around lol. Hoping to get something more suited for my car going into next years racing season. But thank you we have definitely tried hard to get the car to this:)

Was trying to fight through the converter slip... it didn't work that well but boy did she sing.. even hit 8800 rpm a couple times before coming to the conclusion it just wasn't making the steam that high lol. Had to go for broke on the last day! I'll see if I can find a video of that sound

I'm awful with navigating this website and can't figure out how to message you. Let me know a price on that/specs if you have any I may just take you up on that!

You've got one of the most badass '04 Cobras out there. 9.5 @ 147 is really stout! Dipping into the 8s in going to be fun on your end. Keep us posted!

Thanks all of ya and thats awesome to hear from CobraBob appreciate the kind words and @03 Cobra DSG..

Going from a blower car to this thing with the smaller single turbo and on3 kit was probably the best decision i've ever made. Throwing in a on3 turbo kit with a precision turbo and running 9s is awesome and with the newer converter going in soon I'm gonna be knocking on 8s door real soon (or so I hope) if not i have giggle gas for it. ;) Just spent alot of money in the last two years adding all the safety stuff (10pt moly cage, seats, harnesses, parachute etc) so haven't gotten to adding speed until this year. very excited to see how far i can take this little 4.6

What do you have done to your heads/valvetrain so far? Or was the 8200 and 8800 on stock heads/valvetrain?
Regardless, you should definitely be in the 8s once you get the converter dialed in! Nice job!
