Bringing this one back up to ask for help. Where’s a good place to buy a Benchmade Triage? Kinda leery of
Amazon because of the knockoffs.

I love my Recon by Cold Steel. Have had it 5+ years I believe. It’s never loosened up, sharp, durable, has a great feel. I’ve used it as a hammer more times than I can count, very little damage to show for it.

Let me check with my son. He works at a knife shop and knows just about anything and everything about knives.

I just dropped off a 60 inch sawmill blade to a welder that makes knives. Hopefully get them before Christmas.
This is my daily. Light and smooth.

What do you use to sharpen? I have a small collection of mainly Kershaw's and my edc a Kershaw Blur sv30 need to be sharpened. I've thought about some kind of wet stone but I don't really know what would be a good one.

For the s30v steel you need diamond or ceramic stones

Wanted something American made, classy design and tough as nails. Found the microtech LUDT. Very nice edc. Might want a serrated blade in the future. And damn they know how to sharpen a blade at microtech.

Nice knives. I went to his website and it appears that he does mostly custom knives in designs not shown in his regular four categories. Is that right?

Yes your Correct...
I actually looked and told him what I was looking for Blade, handle, and overall design.
He said sure and worked up a drawing and sent it back with measurements and after semi approval started.
I told him he needs to post all the custom customers knives he has made before on both his sites so people can see his awsome work.
Plus I wanted something that no one has and tough as nails and sharp as $#!+.

I always wanted to find a nice legit switchblade. But they always seem like cheap pieces of shit, or just too much $

I had an infidel for a while. That is OTF so not quite the same. I think it was $400 and was still a POS IMO. If you get one be sure to check laws. They are illegal to carry in my state.
