Wow, Kevin, that summary just about says it all. And yet.....Netflix defends their stand on producing it. Sick bunch!!

Ok, "media industry over-sexualize young girls" is a legit concern and ongoing situation. However, for a movie to discuss that, you would think the overall message would be negative. I just watched a YTers who first watched the whole movie, before making a vlog about it. He went over multiple issue he had with the film. Quick summary, there's zero defense for this film. There's several 2-3 minute dance routines which zoom in on the crotch and ass of the girls. Remember, these are not 18 years olds playing 11, the main character is 11, and others are 11-14. They are doing legit stripper moves while the camera zooms in on their crotch, over and over for 2-3 minutes. He said another scene has the main girl teaching the others who to twerk, so she's grabbing their ass, showing how they need to move it, and even spanking them jokingly. Guess the camera zooms in on for this scene? Another scene has them all dancing somewhere, and they get caught by some security guard. He makes them prove they were dancing and not breaking in or something, and he being some 40 year old man then watches them dance like strippers. Yter said he's sort of grinning while they dance. One scene has them talking about penis size. Another has the main character steal her dad phones, drop her pants/underwear, take a direct genital photo, and send it to a friend.

So the film is completely ****ed without doubt.

So it's even worse then I expected. You have got to be ****ING KIDDING ME!!!

And people thought I was a prude when I said that putting 11 year olds in Pleather aka Brittney Spears was in poor taste.

I don't think any one will be forced to watch it. So those of you who champion freedom of choice calm the **** down. Its just a movie. Dont watch stuff that offends you. Pretty simple actually.

I don't know if they produced it. It was some french producer, right? I don't know if netflix put up any money, or simply picked it up once finished. Nonetheless, all this started when netflix decided to advertise it as some twerking movie. I'm not the best with words, but calling it a "dark look into the effects of an over sexualized media, on preteen girls" or something might have been a little better than their summary they give it...plus they photo they ran with here, vs in France.

That’s easy to say but we all know lots of kids have access to Netflix and will be watching this trash and their parents won’t even know. I guess this is the lefts plan to corrupt our children while we sleep.

I guess I wouldn't go that far. Like everything else people produce what sells. Politics aside, profit is what drives most any endeavor.

Fortunately my 14 year old understands this madness and agrees with my wife and I that we are looking to cancel Netflix. Others around me already started.

By that standard, we should just go all the way with pedophilia and legalize child porn. After all no one if forced to watch it. Maybe you're one of the sick ****s getting off to this shit.

The problem is that theres nothing to defend this. Absolutely nothing to defend ANY of the content. There is no artistic value to sexualizing girls that are OBVIOUS minors.

I think you are way over the line with that statement. And frankly your judgmental righteousness is rather nauseating at best. We can have civil discussions on this topic or you can talk s**t and lose any credibility you may have had. My opinion stands, your moral high ground is just that, yours. I may agree with you regarding standards of conduct but certainly will not agree with your moralistic proclamations based solely on your prejudices and conservative values. Preaching is best left for the pulpit.

Steven Crowder did a segment covering it the other day and basically said its so inappropriate he didn't even feel comfortable showing clips from the movie.

I think the 90% critics score vs 6% audience score is very telling of a few things.

Again, you miss the point. Crap like this is produced for one reason...to make money. Those who choose to watch it do so because that is their prerogative. Is the subject material proper? Not to me, but then I can't tell you what you should or should not watch. Netflix is a business. And as such you may or may not subscribe. That's your choice. But I hate to tell you that this movie is rather tame compared to the crap that young adults have access to on their phones and tablets.

"These are the same journalist and critics that knew about and said nothing about Wienstein, Epstein and the Clinton's..."

If you can't see the problem with this show being aired, then you are one ****ed up individual who doesn't deserve a civil discussion. You are what is wrong in America. You might want to get your ass to Cali where they just lessened the punishment for your kind. CA Legislature Passes Bill Easing Punishment for Pedophiles Because of 'LGBTQ Equality' or Something

It is obvious from your vitriol a constructive conversation is not possible. I will respect your self righteousness and simply agree to disagree with you. My time is way too valuable to have a non productive dialogue with you. May you enjoy the rest of your evening.

Sir, your insinuations are not only insulting and groundless, but they expose you for the judgemental fool your truly are. I suspect your hidden agenda is to put your own deviance onto another. And with that, I am dismissing any further posts you may make as just childish noise designed to obfuscate your own issues.
