Been going to Vegas for years in early November, was in a quandary about this year..... Then SEMA was cancelled, and that made our choice easy. We have still not been on a plane since February (we had around 15 trips in 2019). COVID SUCKS.
Semi off topic, but not really: It absolutely blows me away that they would even allow, let alone require a mask in a casino, bank, gas station, etc....but especially a casino. It's actually kind of funny now that I think of it, they've probably invested billions and billions into security measures, only to tell people to cover their faces.
My wife and I have reservations to go to Las Vegas on September 23, I am looking for information on exactly how draconian the mask mandate is currently.
We would be staying at the Bellagio.
My host gave me the canned policy on masks (required indoors), and I understand he cannot say too much. But I have other information that says (at least in some casinos) that no one is wearing a mask.
Has anyone been out there (on the strip) recently and can give me a vibe for how it is?
E
The mask policy is what it is; if you're indoors, you will be required to wear a mask. The casinos are very strict with the mask mandate as they do not want to be shut down again. I don't know where your "other information" came from, but it is incorrect. I am not pro-mask at all, just telling you how it's going to be.
We are going to Vegas in 10 days and staying at the MGM. From all the research we have been doing, masks are required almost everywhere (which is nothing new at this point). The most interesting thing is going to be the big a** pool parties that they do. We are going to one and they state that you have to wear a mask at all times except when you're eating/drinking or in the pool.
So if you never stop drinking, you'll never need to wear the mask. Needless to say that's what I'll be doing lol
The crappy thing is that most all of the shows seem to be cancelled/not doing them.
Yep. I just left Green Valley Ranch (my sports betting app for Stations isn't working WTF!?!?) and everyone was in a mask. All entrances have a guard at them and you need to be wearing a mask.
You're right, there are no shows right now. I can't see those returning until the pandemic subsides and/or a vaccine is widely distributed.

Or until people stop confusing "cases" with dying from it. Remember "flatten the curve"? Ahhh the good ole days.
Wellll..... I wouldn't say there are no shows. When we looked last week, there are a couple of crappy ones and also some uhhh... adult shows for men, and women! lmao
Well that's a whole different story all together. LOL
But I think people have it in their minds that it isn't safe. The propaganda is strong.
What are the crappy shows that are being produced? I am not aware of any mainstream shows, whether crappy or good, being produced right now.
So I looked again and you’re pretty much right. When I clicked on some of the shows that looked available when I looked the first time, the next page you click lists them as “cancelled”. So that’s why I thought there were more available than there actually is.
I did find a few though and I think Cirque du Soleil starts back up in a few weeks on Oct 3rd.

Just came back from Vegas. I can 100% say the low life runs strong at the moment. if your going to go practice screaming as loud as you can "WORLDSTAR!"
I go to Vegas largely for the free live music and cheap drinks and freak show downtown. Cancelled three trips since April because the free live music and cheap drinks are shut down. Next on the agenda is Halloween, because it's on a Saturday this year. If no live music and drinks, then **** it. Again. Sigh.
Halloween in vegas is pretty awesome. If you think hot young women dress like hoes during regular vegas you have to see vegas in halloween.
