Where can I find the elusive underhood headlight covers?

They were discarded in most SN95s, and I could have bet money they were only on 94/95s, but here they are in this pic.
I'm referring to the plastic panel behind each headlight in this pic. (to the left and tight of the plastic radiator cover)
I'm trying to find a pair. I don't see them on LMR.
Weren't they originally hinged on the radiator cover?

Good question. Mine was missing when I bought it too.

Never knew those existed. Now you showed me I wouldn't mind a set either lol.

That's what I always thought, but they are clearly on that 96-98. The 96-98 radiator covers are entirely different so you can't just swap it out for a 94/95.

@Goose17 does your Mystic have them?

Came out to the garage for a closer look (I was looking on some cell pics I had before).

My 95 has like a perforation that's attached to the radiator cover

My 96 also does

Here are some pics (96 is the one with the sticker near it and no battery in the picture)

What's interesting is the 96 has like a twist off piece that gives access to the light with out having to use a screwdriver.

So yes it appears it's part of the radiator on both covers, but more so an access panel to get to the lights as they do flip up.

Can you see what you need from these pics?

My 96 has em, it doesn't seem like there is any type of "aftermarket " replacement for them. Ive looked around from time to time to try and find a radiator cover with them intact but seems very tough to find one in good shape

By "flip up", you really mean "breaks off the second time they're accessed" lol.

True statement. Snapped mine on my old 94 one week into owning it.

My understanding was that the '96's had them, but they were removed when the cooling tsb was done. Consequently, they didn't come on the '97 and '98 cars.

If i remember i think there is someone on this site that makes them out of metal

This has merit. There is a thread on the site that talks a bit about it.

I am now wondering if my mystic has the cooling tsb done to it or not. I am going to research it some more.

My mystic has these as well with no cooling TSB performed.

Semi related to the OP's question - can anyone confirm if 97 and 98 Cobra's actually came with them? My 97 did not when I bought it, but there were a couple of previous owners.

From my research the 96 was the only year that had them

I’ve bought two 97 Cobras from original owners and neither of them had them.
