Haha, I haven't even done that. My raptor has 600mi on it and 400 of that has been off road miles learning it. Stay in your lane man. You are trying to pick an argument to which you have none.

I haven't done it's intended purpose for obvious reasons do to what is happening in the world right now. That still doesn't change my position that I understand why Ford caters to more what the vehicle is supposed to be rather than what people want it to be because of their intended use. I'm not sure what's so hard about you comprehending that.

Okay rook!

Did you really just say/question whether 700+hp “makes sense”? Your responses make sense now. Lol

Do you even car guy, bro?

Only on this site is horsepower and sound the end all be all...... I prefer balance with my trucks and my cars which is why I would gladly take a GT350 over a redeye any and everyday....but that's a different subject for a different thread

Ok well I am not going to say I know more than you, I honestly don't. I just know what I have done and will do in my truck that others either won't work are incapable of doing in stock forum.

But since u know more than me I will ask u this , does 700+hp makes sense in these ( raptor or TRX) trucks? I am no pro but just in my experience it seems like that is far more power than suspension capability.

I want more power but I am even questioning handling the extra power just from a IC and tune
I agree with you there, no, from an actual offroad stand point and the capacity of the Raptor and TRX suspensions, no they absolutely do not need 700hp.

I also could not give less of a shit what my truck sounds like, I prefer them quiet so IDC if it's a V8, V6 or even electric. To me, sound is for performance cars.

I'm just sitting here thinking both sides of the argument are retarded. I'll never get on the side of someone who buys a 700hp vehicle just cuz and uses it to pick their nose in traffic.

I think that’s an easier choice though as the GT350 sounds amazing and is a great over all drivers car. The two are vastly different where as the TRX and Raptor are near the same.

personally I’d pick the GT350 as well but there is very little compromise in that choice and a better comparison would be would you want a ecoboost V6 Mustang vs even a V8 mustang if they both were similarly equipped power wise and capability wise?

Have come?? They've been doing it every single year since the 1960's. They still run a beetle class to this day, they use the OG vw suspension with quality shocks these days.

Might I add that the gen1 Raptor ran the Baja in 35hours. The beetle class winners are around 25hours.

I think you're getting off track because your analogy doesn't fit the arguments in question. Absolutely nobody in this thread is saying if absolutely everything was equal they prefer a V6 over a V8

That was the point of all of this, ppl claimed ( you included) that it didn't matter the performance aspect they couldn't get over the V6 motor.

When I was replying to @ZYBORG I was simply stating I don't view HP and the end all be all like most on this site do

That comment has gotta sting, bet it leaves a mark...but if it had a V8 and a more capable suspension that 25 hours might be achievable.

Interesting.....like I have said many times I am new to this word and this is my first truck. When I got a truck I knew I wanted to be able to haul my toys and still go out and jump it and do off road rallies . I went and drove a rebel , tundra , trail boss and titan and none felt as light, fast and planned as the raptor and when researching how all the trucks who handle the adventures I wanted to have all pointed to the raptor .

Oh well....looks like I completely wasted 70k and I could've had my same fun with a beetle . ......wait I didn't get a beetle because of the sound.....yea that's it lol

I think it sucks that you can only get the TRX in CREW CAB. Not really interested in a Crew Cab truck.
Too bad.

Oh I think the raptor is hands down the best looking truck on the market today. Love the stance, wider fenders, etc. engine/sound is at the forefront of anything I purchase though. Don’t get me wrong, I love my current truck’s look, but the raptor looks insane. Reminds me in some ways of when the Audi R8 first came out. Exotic looks, but only offered with a 4.2 v8. Looked amazing but the motor was very meh. Sound didn’t quite fit the vehicles look nor did it feel “special”. Once they dropped the v10 in that car...game over. Not in any way an exact comparison, but you get the idea of what I’m saying.
So engine sound is first and foremost on your list..... not the Raptor it's as simple as that. You already have the truck that suits your need first and foremost which is motor and sound.
Performance and sound. Don’t get it twisted. I had a 15 5.0 and while it sounded good, it was a dog. Now having 650hp to match the sound...much better. Lol. Hard to argue against a high hp crazy sounding v8 on a performance forum.

35 hours because all the fuel stops...Gen1 gets like a 1/4 tank to the mile.

I still think the raptor looks better, can't stand the two tone really. Also, for me, the gt350 looks better than the ZLE I currently have...but once I'm inside of it, it's all about the powertrain and chassis. I enjoy the LT4 so much more than I did the voodoo.

You jump and “off road rally” your raptor eh? Lmao. Ok

Do you have any idea what a built “beetle” sounds like?

The shit coming out of your mouth stinks so bad it’s almost hard to tell if your trolling or just dumb.

Probably the latter.

This is the color I would want but with the optional bead lock capable wheels. Such a good looking set up.

I may bee the odd one here but I’ve actually grown to love the look of the ZL1 over the GT350 the more I see them in person. They seem like a great compromise if you can even call it that between the gt350 and gt500 and a killer price point

I’m not completely sold on the gloss black paint at the bottom, need to see some in person. Only way around it is to order the diamond black...only monotone color they offer, kinda surprised by that.

And yeah i don’t hate the ZL1, just think the lines on the 350 are some of the best ever. After trading, the bang for buck in the ZL1 is pretty damn amazing.
