FPDM vs BAP

I have tried searching this topic for awhile, but it seems most results are from the mid 2000s, and everyone has a different opinion. I am about to install twin "Improved" FGT pumps in the stock 04 cobra hat w/ PPRV delete from Lethal. I also have a modified FPDM and wiring upgrade kit from Black306 to do at the same time. My question is about the use of a Boost-a-pump with this configuration- Is it required? Is it necessary? 20 Amp BAP with a modified FPDM vs 40 amp BAP?
Everything else is stock (fuel lines, rails, etc.) with the exception of 60# injectors to be used when this is done. I am looking to see in the low-mid 600rwhp range with a VMP on pump 93.
Any suggestions/tips or opinions?

I am not looking to go retun, or do a complete re-haul of the fuel system such as Lethals budget, at least for now. Once E85 is readily available around me, I may look to upgrade blower/fuel.

Friend of mine is running a similar set up, but with a Whipple 2.3. He's just shy of 600, but has plenty of pump left even with no BAP. I'd install everything you have then see where you're at.

Thanks for that. I saw someone on here running a similar setup a while ago as well, I think around 2010 when I was searching. Maybe it was Senkak, but I'm not sure how to tag anyone or if I even can.

Just put "@" in front of their name. But nothing has really changed as far as the basics go with these cars.

I running two original Ford Gt pumps in a Fore hat with two oem FPDM's and 60lb injectors on my 03. No BAP and it makes 570+ wheel without a issue. Been on this setup for over 10 years. The new improved pumps are better than the originals. I will say that I did have a 20amp BAP in my Vortech 98 feeding my single aviator fuel pump. My setup didn't need it so the tuner just left it set at 1 on the dial. I drove for 3 years like that until I went to drive it one day and the car wouldn't crank. Long story short the BAP had burned itself up. I just removed it from the circuit and tossed it in the trash. I haven't had a problem since.

@04sleeper Sorry, didn't get a notification of this. In a perfect world Id be looking to break the 600rwhp mark on pump 93. I did however decide to return the Ford GT pumps and have gone with the dual 340lph DeatschWerks. I'm in the process of installing the wiring upgrade now with modified FPDM. Tuner said I should be good with this setup

Well that's a mistake. The GT Pumps are leaps and bounds better than the DW pumps.
Well I may be going the FGT route anyway. The DW pumps have been on backorder for weeks and they keep moving the ETS back. Pumps are the last piece to the puzzle before I start reassembly

I don't recommend DW or GT pumps. Best bet is oem ford coyote pumps for a 2011+ GT. Two of them will be more than plenty no BAP needed.

And NEVER for any reason should you ever get rid of the PPRV. There is absolutely no reason to do so and it can cause a ruptured FRPS and even engine damage.
