When would you step up to the 3.8L instead of the 3.0L?

I've heard the 3.0L is plenty to make 1000whp and more.

If I'm understanding correctly, a larger blower won't be as efficient at lower speeds, so kinda a turbo lag effect (which would be good to not spin the tires off the line). This is at least a year into the future.

What are you power goals? Fuel? Built motor or stock? How high do you want to rev it. All those play a factor in that choice

Newly built engine. 91 octane with water meth, there's a good chance I'll have the fuel system set for e85 by this time.

I'm told I can rev to 7500.

1000 whp, but I live at altitude, so 1300whp at sea level.

If you have a built engine then do the 3.8 whipple. But you'll have to run a different hood or lower your K-member.

Ur not gonna make anywhere near 1300 whp with the 3.0 or the 3.8 unless ur running E85 and even then I doubt u will see anything past 1100 whp so probably 800 whp at sea level on max effort E85 and 500 whp on 93/Meth where ur at.

If u go with One-Ethanol u can pick up another 50-60 hp.
