Just to add to it, we call them shells over here. I've had a Snugtop on my truck since I bought it in 2015. Needed something for the dogs when we do the long trips. No complaints.

That's nice, but up there in price. I'm just a cheap bastard I guess.

True. I got a steal on mine. I was gonna get something cheaper but found it on an Amazon return site and scored mine for $115 with tax. It was missing hardware to install, and I contacted BAK and they hooked me up.

I've had a Lomax on my Taco for a year and half now and really like it. Looks great, pretty water tight (keep my golf clubs in there all summer and never wet) and can take it off in under a minute if needed. It's the same one that Weather Tech sells they just put their name on it. I paid $675 for it.

Noted. Any comps that are better alternatives?

From what I've gathered, it seems like a lot of the other brands are having issues as well.

A lot of guys seem to like the Z series from ARE though, its the new Revo and Evolve that are less than stellar and it seems ARE doesn't have great customer service.

One guy brought up a good point, if you order one, get one with a fold down front window so you don't have to pull the topper to clean the windows.

These things are damn expensive.

I have a Snug Top on my Silverado. LED interior lights and it locks in conjunction with the trucks power locks. Someone tried to pry it open at the junkyard and were not successful. Dented uo my tailgate though.
