I bought some LED fogs from Amazon Prime day. I now want to upgrade my head lights.

I just put in beamtech LEDs in my 09 yukon. Paid 40 for the pair. Awesome upgrade. 6500k. 10k lumens. Illuminates the road perfectly. My mom put the same set in her wrangler. Loves them. I would buy them again in a heartbeat.

I have beamtechs in my 15 f-350. Headlights and fogs for~$80. Great light output and no glare.

Beamtech seems popular, I have them in my ST, my wifes civic, my brother put them in his toyota, and my dad runs them in his charger and Ram. I previously had a different brand in my ST that were brighter but 1 of them started failing and I can't find the same replacement. The beamtech does have a better light pattern though

Are these just bulbs, or bulbs and projectors?

Because nothing drives me crazier than a blinding white or blue set of headlights giving me an x-ray as I pass a vehicle driven by someone who wanted “better” lights.

How much of a PITA is it to do the headlights?

From what I've researched, if you can't dislocate your arm, to reach through the wheel well, you gotta pull the whole headlight shrouding off.

I don't necessarily think it's hard to do so, just time consuming.

From what I read you cannot change the halogens you LED, at least not doing just bulbs in the 2015+. The system will sense a drop in current and set off warning lamps thinking a bulb is out.

You can but need to make changes with FORSCAN.

OP you don't have projectors so can't just drop in LEDs. You need to change the headlight housing to somethin like an Anzo or retrofit projectors in.

If you're using an LED bulb in a halogen housing, be sure to get the LED's that are adjustable. Assuming the "stalk" has an LED on either side, clock them so they shine at 12:00 and 6:00. Seems counter-intuitive, but this helps avoid blinding oncoming vehicles in my experience. If you don't believe me, try clocking them at 3:00 and 9:00 and watch how many people flash their brights at you.

I ran run LED's in my 2019 without any issues. Didn't need to fart with FORSCAN.

Recently bought the new Morimoto Hybrid XB's ($800 at The Retrofit Source). Installation is pretty simple; it took me about 90min. I'll get a pic of them when I run for lunch if desired.

You're right now that I think about it. I changed to Anzos on my 15 and had to use forscan for the hyperflash from LED turns not the headlights. Been a few years and I've since sold the truck.

Not the best pics during the day, but gives you an idea. They come pretty well adjusted although I’ve considered bringing the low beams up a tad. Very clean cut-offs and the beams overlap beautifully directly in front of you. Had to get a paid of amber 7443’s for the signals. TRS has some with the resistors built in to eliminate hyper flash.

Wasn't bad at all on the 350, can't comment on the 150s though. If its replacing a halogen you just have to take note of the filament orientation in the housing and adjust the LED to match. I had to pull the grill and headlight housings but it wasn't a difficult job.

For those concerned about LEDs in halogen housings here are some before, after and 50/50 shots. the light isn't nearly as hot spotted as the pictures make it appear. Lighting is pretty even when driving.

3 5.5mm screws/bolts that hold the liner. Peel the liner back and reach in. It helps if you turn the front wheels for more space. 15-20min job tops if you're not a total putz.
