Well lookie there, size does matter.
Anybody seeing any good black Friday deals popping up? Haven't seen anything too crazy. I imagine with how the gun market has been this year, there's probably not too much incentive to have big deals

Every deal I have seen is effectively useless. The item is not in stock, and the retailer has no idea when it will be back in stock. For example, I received the BassPro mini-ad last week in the mail. Was thinking about buying the Kimber Rapide, and another advertised Kimber. Went to the website, not in stock either online or any of the stores within 500 miles of me. Went to the local BassPro, talked to a buddy of mine that works there, and he could not either order one for me, or give me any info for when they would be in stock, etc.
They are all over GunBroker, but I am not paying close to $2K for the models that I wanted when BassPro was $1300. Was hoping to expand my 1911 collection, but I guess I will have to wait until 2024.
I noticed grabagun's black Friday sale (youse guys notice how black Friday now lasts a week everywhere?). I went back and looked at other emails and the prices were exactly the same as they were a month ago

It's definitely crazy as far as the gun/ammo market. I gave up weeks ago with buying more 9mm ammo. I've got maybe 1,000 rounds of practice ammo and 500 rounds of LE hollow-points, but I'm not expecting to buy more any time soon.
Yeah just double checked graba's "sale," because they keep sending emails advertising it.
Now, I can't speak for ALL of their prices, but every single item I had my eyes on is the exact same price as it was a month ago.
Maybe they will drop them on the actual Black Friday, but I'm not holding my breath

I should mention on ammo prices to check armslist. Around me you can still find stuff for reasonable prices when guys are selling odd lots or mix and max boxes. I picked up some dirt cheap army surplus 45 acp not too long ago. I suspect it fell off a truck but did not ask any questions LOL.
Found me some 9MM this morning at Cablea’s. Limit 5.

How much did that 9mm target ammo cost per round?
$13.99 so just about .28 cents a round. Used to be able to get it for $8.99 so almost .18 cents a round. Not to hateful considering what I’ve seen at this point. It was flying off the shelves.

I just searched Cabela's and there are no stores within 150 miles of me that have any Herter's 9mm. Or ANY 9mm for that matter. I'd say you lucked out!
I’ve been to our local store it’s about 5 miles from me probably 4-5 times in the past month. No 9MM I did get two boxes of 20 each of .556 for about .75 cents a round. They said to keep calling and checking back they got trucks twice a week. I was in the area today and popped in and lucked out. When I got the .556 it was limit three boxes per customer of any ammo. I got the last two boxes of that. It’s now 5 boxes of ammo per customer.
