Enjoy seeing the progress, one-day hope to be able to get back to working on mine. Seems like when I try to set some time aside. Something else breaks or comes up that needs to be done.

Thank you kind sir! I can definitely relate to that. I bought this car originally in 1989. Didn't rebuild it until 2010 because I was in the military and never had the time or space to work on it. And here I am again in 2020 working on it due to a blown motor in 2015.

Life always seems to get in the way of projects...….:(..

I also added the Tilton Hydraulic Throw out bearing, and taking some good measurements it wasn't that bad at all. With the work you have done on the car already, you shouldn't have any issues.

SWEET! That's good to know. Thank you for that tid bit. I always get nervous when I venture into uncharted territory LOL.

Just a bit of advice, once you get it all set up and in the car, make sure the lines are tight and out of the way of the pressure plate. I doubt you want to pull the tranny back out after getting it back together. Ask me how I know .

Again, thank you for the heads up.

Check it out. I'm working from home today and I'm watching Roadkill Garage. They are doing a segment on hydraulic throw-out bearing install LOL.

Yes sir. I will keep that in mind. Removing engines or transmissions is NOT something I want to be doing. Especially once it's all painted.

And here is why I ALWAYS prefer to do things myself. You know what they say when you want it done right.... Right?????

I got my hoses back from the Tubes N Hoses place yesterday after work. To say I was pissed is an understatement.

What the hell kind of shoddy work is this? It's not like I took it to any ole place. This "IS" supposed to be their specialty.

The guy told me I could pick them up at noon and I went to get them at 3. So, it wasn't like they were rushed or anything.

(NOTE: I've used these guys like 10 years ago and received great service. It's obviously under new management or the people they hire don't know what the "F" they are doing!!!!)

WHITE Tape sticking out of the bottom of my black fitting!?!?!? WTF?!?!?!

SCRATCH marks on my brand new fittings!?!?! God _ _ _ _ IT!!!!!!

Lubricating OIL left all over my fittings!?!?!?! Really??? Couldn't take the time to clean them up!?!?!?!

After I spent an hour cleaning up all that damn white tape and wiping down the fittings I decided to install the hoses on the car. Needed to make sure they didn't "F" up the measurements.

Have to say it came out looking pretty good. I'm hoping to have my trunk done by a professional upholstery shop, so this will eventually be covered up.

I still think it came out looking pretty good considering how I received my hoses back.

Okay everyone. Since it was Thanksgiving weekend, the weather was a little cooler here AND I'm waiting on some parts I did NOT get a lot done.

I was able to get a couple things done. The big thing I got "started" was my brake lines. I got the rear brake line mounted and routed towards the front of the car and I got the front passenger side brake line started and routed to the driver's side of the car.

I do NOT have my Master Cylinder or my proportioning valve (waiting on Summit Racing). So, I cannot compete the routing of my brake lines at this time.

Rear hard brake line started.

Started routing the line to the front of the car. (Note: I have NOT placed the brake line clips on yet since I will have to move the brake line in order to install the front fitting and connect the line to the proportioning valve).

This is where the line ended at the front of the car.

Here is the start of the passenger front brake line. I used pictures from Mustang's to Fear (MTF) to get a general idea of how they routed their lines with the MTF front suspension set up. Mine will not be exactly like theirs's since I only want a minimal amount of brake lines in the engine bay.

For those of you following this thread you remember I had mentioned that I could not fit the upper "A" arm in between the shock mount and engine panel without some serious force. Indicating I would cause some serious scratches if I tried to install it like this once it was painted.

So, another project I worked on was fixing this situation.

Here you can see how it was originally.

I ended up trying to cut a notch around the shock mount in order to provide more room/clearance. I even used my mini belt sander to shape the cut and make it flow a little better with the overall opening/design. I think it looks pretty good AND the "A" arm now fits in without ANY interference or contact. Should not have any scratches once it's painted.

Another project I started to tackle was my electronics panel that will be mounted under the dash. I don't like it when I'm not working on the car. Feel like I'm wasting time, so I decided to start this. The black lines are where the panel will contact metal under the dash and become my mounting points.

Here you can see my basic layout. The relay's with the white tabs are for my headlights. The other two relays will be for my electric fans and my electric fuel pump. The 175 AMG fuse will go between my alternator and my starter solenoid. The red and black rectangles are my power and ground distribution blocks. I have various weather pack connectors coming (you can see one connected to my headlight relays next to the MSD box), so I can make this look a little more professional once it's completed and to give me easy separation points in case anything needs to be removed, replaced or upgraded.

Lastly, I believe my engine will be completed soon. So, I assembled my new engine stand to prepare for the arrival of my beast of a 427 :D:D:D...

Lookin' good! I understand what you say about the hoses, you pay to get it done by a pro and they screw it up, could have sved the money and screwed it up on your own. Not likely, you may have screwed up one but would have found a work around. Hope they dicounted their labour for you.
The more I see of your car, the more I like the Raptor liner, you may have a convert here.

Speaking of engine...… I know a lot of you never seen the massive destruction of my last engine and the reason I decided to rebuild this car "AGAIN."

This may be hard to look at, so considered yourself warned LMAO!!!

I had my car running in the drive way and was going to ensure my NOS was working. I had an arming switch in the car and a micro switch on the throttle. So, after arming the system it should NOT activate until the micro switch on the throttle was pressed. However, for whatever reason, my NOS activated after flipping the arming switch. So, I ended up shooting 150 HP of NOS at idle. I immediately turned the switch back off after I heard the RPMs climbing.

But, it was already too late. The damage had been done.....

And this is why this time around I am building a FORGED engine AND I'm NOT running NOS this time...…….

Here you can see pistons 1 and 4 are gone.....

Here you can see piston 6 is gone...

Here you can see chunks of piston resting on the crank.

Here you can see the major damage to the cylinder wall.

Here you can see the holes and cracks in the cylinder wall exposing the water jacket.

It's coming along nicely. On the trunk, you may want to consider making a false floor to cover the top of the tank and fittings up before getting it upholstered.

Thank you Bullitt! Always appreciate your comments. No sir, I did not receive any discounts, but the overall price wasn't bad. So, I didn't complain as I wasn't in the mood to argue or deal with the headache.

I'm glad you like the raptor liner. I liked it for the bottom of the car and felt it was a good alternative to under coating. It wasn't until I sprayed it in the trunk that I became a true believer LOL. It really transformed my trunk and made it a very nice looking addition to my car. So, I'm sold on Raptor liner now myself LOL.

Ouch! I have seen less damage at 7000 rpm than you had at idle, man that had to hurt.

Yeah, when it happened I posted on the vintage Mustang site. Someone told me that when I "F" something up I take it to the next level ROFLMAO!!! And yes sir, it was NOT a good feeling when I tore my 347 apart and seen all that damage.
