hell no. Lots of fast Jeep’s out there. Crazy times.
Granted this crowd is very much single minded in only talking about the 0-60 time in this category of truck which is probably one of the dumbest things I have seen on this site but that is not the norm.

while some use a daily driver that never see more than a Starbucks curb most use these trucks as off road toys or a mixture of both DD and off road fun. On the Raptor site I would say it’s about 80/20 ( off road use / pavement princess) and I would be willing to guess when the trx comes out it will be slightly more pavement princess use. Hard to go on 1500mi off road rallies getting 6-8mpg

To me, It's more the money they spend on a new truck only to scratch/dent/beat on it in the woods or in the dunes while still making 1000/mo payments.
They are mostly mall crawlers. I mean, there's always the "I know a guy..." and "my buddy beats on his" but the majority is for DD.

I hate how the big 3 just copy each other.
Let's see a new L, or something similar from the other 2. Those type of trucks actually get used to their potential every time you get in the seat.

Cool duplicate pics, get me that info, I'm going to roll down to home depot and let the other 99% of owners know that's what they should be doing with their trucks.

that was my point , most ppl on the Site that actually have these trucks use them to DD as well as weekend off road toys.

If you only go to Starbucks and Walmart that is the only place you will see them therefore in your naive mind that is the only place they go...... makes sense right

I see what you are saying it just isn’t that way in the Raptor site. Even the ppl who daily them still go and beat up on them off road . Very few on the site actually mall crawl them. You are paying 90k(trx) or 70k (Raptor) because of their off road capabilities, why pay that if you aren’t going to use it? Makes no sense

If I were going to get a mall crawler it would be without a doubt the Shelby F150 sport but in no way is that in the same category as the TRX or Raptor

While it may not make sense, it's just the way it is. The members on the Raptor site represent a very small percentage of the owners.
You think most Ferrari and McLaren owners take their cars to Laguna Seca?

no I don’t , I also think that’s a different type of buyer than a trx or Raptor

Why do all these threads deteriorate into pissing contests? If you can afford to buy a vehicle, why should anyone care how you use it...or don't use it?

I wanted the current Raptor badly when I first saw the spy shots. Then when Ford let me down by stuffing a leftover V6 that sounds like complete poo from the rental car fleet in it, I was completely let down. I have *never* purchased a truck that didn't have a blue oval on the grill nor will I purchase one that does not have a V8. The TRX will be my first non-Ford truck and I can't wait.

So, just for the giggles, what would the collective do given an opportunity to either keep the 2020 GT 500 or trade for the TRX? Reasons? Thanks for your thoughts.

You are asking a question on you can answer. Everybody's situation is different. Me personally I wouldn't want a trx because I already own a raptor. If I didnt then a trx would be my choice.

If you already own a truck then i would keep the gt500 as I am more of a car guy and have multiple cars but only one truck

Thanks for your input. Sold my 07 chevy pickup recently with 27k on the clock...didnt use it for anything but pulling the car trailer. When I decided to be done with classic car restoration I sold the trailer and then the truck. So long winded way to say I don't need a truck, just another fun vehicle.

In your shoes I would much rather have a Shelby F150 sport instead of a TRX. To me it looks MUCH better , has more HP and TQ and it is meant for the pavement

But its a Ford! Lol!!

Lol, true . I have had good luck with Ford's, others haven't. I also have had. HORRIBLE luck with GM with is why I swore I would never by another one ...BUT the FPC in the C8Z does have my interest. Like going after a woman you know is gonna break your heart lol

I know the feeling. Went to Chevy trucks after my F250 left me stranded in the middle of a Saskatchewan wilderness area by the rear 9 inch locking up tight. Fun times. This mustang is the first Ford I have owned in 20 years... I hope the C8 will have most of the bugs worked out by the time the Z06 lands. But then I used to believe in the Easter Bunny too...

Pissed off camaro and mustang owners? Let's not make this out to be something it's not

Not all 5.Bros or SSs run mid 11s. I have seen 5.Bros and SSs struggle to run mid 12s, even with the autos. This thing has zero traction issues. If you don't hit your marks, this truck will beat you from stop light to stop light or a short burst. MT ran 12.7. 12.3 - 12.7 is within striking distance of the average 5.Bro or SS owner.

not sure what the 5.0's or SS do in the 1/2 mile, but my stock hawk ran this earlier today...

I just think it's funny how people always assume off road enthusiasts are broke asses that can't afford to wreck new things.

Tatum sand cars run for over $200k and have a 2 year wait list.

Robby Gordan's SpeedUTV (a side by sid) got 9,400 pre orders when banks opened two weeks ago.

Mind you, that's a $4,000 down payment on a $38k UTV that is NON-REFUNDABLE.

Go to Glamis, people have **** you money invested in thier hobby.

Go see a list of what Kibbetech will charge you to upgrade your ride. See what a bolt-on Camburg LT truck will set you back.

Paying $70k for a warrantied Raptor and trashing it for 4 years before trading it in for a $45k credit - guys don't even blink. Ya'll be putting the blue pussy on a pedestal acting like these are irreplaceable family heirlooms.

True. But something tells me the TRX will be no different. I mean take wranglers for example, most never see a dirt road.

Goes for any car, what percent of GT350, 500s, demons or hellcats actually see any form of track. It’s a low %.
