94-95 Export Tail Lights on a 96-98 Cobra

Alright fellas

I love my Cobra but the stock tail lights on chrome yellow paint aren't doing it for me.

After browsing hundreds of sn95's, the export tail lights seem to be my favorite. Apparently the 96-98 exports are hard as hell to find.

Call me crazy, but I've always enjoyed the look of the 94-95 horizontal tail lights.

Has anyone installed 94-95 tail lights on their 96-98? What type of wiring issues can I expect? Obviously a plug & play setup would be ideal

I wish I could remember because I also liked the horizontal. I was like 19 at the time I swapped them over so I'm pretty sure it's a easy swap. No way I did a bunch of wiring but they weren't export lights just regular

Thanks for the reply. Apparently the guy pimped me and is only selling 1 export tail light lol.

But I still want to swap 94-95 (non export) horizontals in.

Anyone ever done this?

if you have the 94-95 tail light harnesses, it should be a plug and play.

I honestly thought I'd get a little backlash for "downgrading" to 94-95 lights, but I love the
way they look!

Just bought some in pretty good shape. The spring can't come soon enough

I'm not a fan of the horizontal lights but if it makes you happy then that's just fine.

xblitzkriegx - lol thx man. "whatever floats your boat, as long as it doesn't sink mine". is kinda what I live by too. For what it's worth, I'm only rockin these until I can get my hands on some 96-98 export tail lights 8) just hope I can find some!

boost88 - honestly I'm not sure yet. They should arrive in a few days (eBay), then I still have to purchase a wiring harness for both sides. 2DXTRM mentioned they should just plug right in, so I'm looking forward to that. Sadly I have the snake in storage until spring, but lots of goodies are waiting for her Bless Michigan's heart, but I still haven't even drove her in the rain, so salt is DEFINITELY outta the question lol. Just ordered a Kaenen s281 wing too. Heard they fit really nice

Those lights look to be in great shape! I find it hard to find 94/95 tails that don't need painting.

I personally like the horizontal tails as opposed to the 96+. Good choice
