I like the rtic brand stuff, to be fair i haven't tried the soft side coolers but dad has a couple and no complaints. I use a bunch of their drink wear products and they are just as good as yeti. Their prices seem to have increased over a few years ago but still good value.

I don't find any reason NOT to buy that one. Reading the description, I find lots of good reasons TO buy that one.
* 100% leakproof and puncture-resistant; antimicrobial mildew resistant liner.
* Tough as nails and can hold ice for days.
* Holds up to 30 cans of your favorite beverage plus ice.
* Wrapped in a heavy duty vinyl shell; stronger than any other soft-sided cooler.
* Tear resistant and UV protected to ensure it does not fade.
* With up to 2 inches closed-cell foam insulation, this cooler keeps your drinks frosty cold.
* Exterior pocket for dry items.
* Decent price for what you're getting!

I have this cooler. Carry it every day in summertime. Gets over 110 degrees in vehicle with no AC and cooler keeps things cold with ice still left at the end of 12 to 14 hour day. Usually pack 5-20 ounce Gatorade’s, 1-20 ounce Sprite and 1-16 ounce water. Fill with lots of ice. Obviously, you could have many more smaller drinks.

I also take a Gallon jug made Rtic of water everyday. The cooler and jug is definitely quality. Only drawback is being bulky-heavy to carry and little storage on cooler. Other coolers I could store my wallet and keys but not this one. Of course, other coolers don’t work this good either. Hope this helps.

I have a Yeti (a Christmas gift a couple years ago), and it looks very very similar to the Gray/blue RTIC cooler in the above link.

I can say that the Yeti isn't all it's cracked up to be. A cooler full of ice and waters doesn't last a 10 hr day in the sun/slight shade. The water was still ice cold, but not really any ice left.
But in normal conditions, the ice can last a full 24 hours+.

I was able to snag a Yeti Hopper soft-sided cooler bag off of WOOT! a year or more ago for a decent price. Would never pay retail for one though.

Damn you drink 5 20oz Gatorade daily in the summer? You gotta be their #1 customer.

No, I take five. Frozen. Mainly drink water but I get so tired of drinking that much water all day so I throw in Gatorade every now and then. No sense hauling a cooler full of ice.

I have an IceMule that works great because it seals/rolls for closure like a dry bag and features a relief valve to purge trapped air.

RTIC was so good that Yeti sued them and won on the design. RTIC then had to have a huge fire sale(which i bought a few for ridiculously cheap) and update their designs to differentiate it enough from Yeti. They are still the same internal design but things like the zipper, handles and such were changed. Its equal to a Yeti at half the price which makes them one of the best.

Another option is the Walmart version from Ozark Trail. They are another one that copied Yeti's design then changed some handles, colors and such. They are even cheaper than the RTIC but ice doesnt last as long. They are quite good though for the price compared to both Yeti and RTIC.

I have the Rtic 40 and absolutely love it. I know from experience it perfectly fits a 30 pack and a 14lb bag of ice. Even using the long shoulder strap I've never had a problem. I do HIGHLY recommend making sure you lube the zipper like once a month. It makes it so much easier to operate and the zipper will bust if it gets dried out and you go to torquing on it.

I have the big soft sided Ozark Trail and it works great. Had it for about 5 years (occasional use) and it easily keeps ice an entire day even in direct hot sun being opened every 15 mins. I've never had it leak either even being full of water and sitting for a few days. Paid 50 bucks and been happy with it. If you're patient you can get them on clearance for real cheap.

I received an RTIC as a gift for Christmas. It's really nice and seems extremely durable. My brother also has one and uses it all the time. I'd say go for it.
