Not quite following your comment. To have WiFi you must 1st have a service to the building (fed from the pole). If you already have Comcast to the building, you will now need their modem / router that will have WiFi built in.
Gotcha. Just sucks to have one exposed wire. All other power is underground.

You dont have an underground conduit for a old school phone line do you? Unless there is a conduit to the pole for low voltage that might be the only option (going overhead), outside of trenching.

@Bdubbs I haven’t read all the replies, but the most basic necessities for a security system are lights and loud audible alarms. Make sure there is lighting all around that activate and multiple outside sirens. Sirens mounted inside are muffled and don’t get the attention of neighbors or passers by. You can choose other options, such as Ring cameras or other brands, but those are the bare essentials bro.

That's a good point. Maybe what I need most is an alarm that notifies the police. Along with lighting.

I'm really undecided. I need to seek some advice from professionals.

The resi service side of my electrical business sells a ton of hard wired ring floods with cameras for the simple control aspect, the camera quality is terrible.

I also design, parts and smarts for other ECs, install and monitor fire and access control. Hikvision is my go-to but without internet you’re definitely limited.

My recommendation is to Consult a pro on this.

Looks like cellular monitoring is one of the best routes to go. And I don't need any wires or internet from what I can see.

I'll be contacting a company called Shield Security located in a bigger town about 30 minutes from me.

1.) Backup generator with battery bank
2.) Flood lights for perimeter of building
3.) Large capacity air compressor
4.) Train horn mounted atop roof
5.) Sensors on windows/doors
6.) Simple controller for it all

If someone breaks in, you'll know. So will everyone else within five miles.

Brady, I haven't heard of cell service alarm systems, let me know what you find out. I am in need of a system myself and that would be a great option for me.

I use cell dialers on several of my systems. The burg or fire panel on an alarm, supervisory or trouble condition (depending on what the AHJ wants to see) will automatically notify my central station, myself as well as notify and roll the proper first responders.

They’re becoming more and more common. The systems I use also only require one method of transmission (cell and or internet) vs 2 hard phone lines due to the cell/internet being tested every 60 minutes vs a traditional phone line bejng tested every 24hrs.
