I am thinking of a F1A-94, ~800whp on e85.

What else do I need?
Injectors/BAP?
Stock bottom end OK?
Rods/Pistons?

Thanks.

Do you watch rpm on YouTube? They’ve done a bunch of f1a c6z. I’m pretty sure they’ve mentioned when you get near 1000hp you need rods and a crank but they’ve also done plenty of 800hp cars with stock internals and all the supporting mods.

I’m looking for this to be my next car also, the styling and the sound of a h/c/i LS7 is second to none.

( we are talking C6Z and not C6ZR1?) LMFAO...@F1A on the stock block LS7, funniest shit I read all day! The ****ing cylinder walls are way too ****ing thin on the LS7|427 for that, almost non existent, basically a sleeve.. You need another block, LSx etc...I'd be content with the NA big inch monster you have or build up a block for serious F1...

Thats where I got the idea. Originally I was going to go with a D1 but Fran has done several with F1As and says this is not the issue. Last I saw he did one with stock lower and meth that made ~800 on 5 lbs.

LOL. That is what guys were saying in 2007 before anyone had any experience doing it. See above. There are several guys doing F1s or YSI trim A&As with no trouble at all.

Yea I just double checked on that the f1a they do on c7 not ls7

Seems a&a and d1x is more common on the ls7 though but they’ve definitely don’t 800 on a stock block like you saw

he has done it on LS7s, as well. There is a red or orange one that I recall (although now that I think of it I am not sure if it is stock lower or not)

I’ll definitely take your word for it but he legit just said in a recent episode he would trust around 800hp in a stock ls7

I wouldn't do it to stock block LS7. FWIW (and I know it ain't much) I have had many LS cars and do my own wrenching, everything short of machine shop work. Now if this were an LS3, then **** yeah I would do it, very stout short block. We made 900 RWHP on my buddies 2015 5th gen with AGP TT setup, heads, cam as well...He eventually went to iron block 6 liter with built/forged bottom end and is now around 1300 rwhp

Build it right:

Fore Innovation duel pump fuel system

Build the motor

D1

Headers and exhaust

Tires and rims

Whatever else your tuner says is a good idea.
