Did a search on the forum for Gen 2 Lightning values, was able to pull some data, but nothing really current or relevant.

I am looking at a one truck right now, but want to make sure the price is right. NADA doesn't give me a clear value, so I thought I would ask the SVTP SME's.

Link is as follows:

Used 2002 Ford F-150 Lightning For Sale ($26,995) | Exotic Motorsports of Oklahoma Stock #C422

Dealer asking $26,995. With trade-in, looking at $23,000 out the door.

Found a couple others new models with more miles, typically mid 50,000 to 60,000 miles for high $20's and low $30's.

Based on the research it seems like the value has jumped on Lightnings exponentially. Seems like guys where picking up low milage (9,000ish) Lightnings in the high teens and low twenties. Years ranging from 99-04. I imagine COIVD-19 and the lack of the used car market has had something to do with it.

So any feedback or leads on a reasonably low milage and priced Lighting would be appreciated. Looking to stay under $26,000 and if it all possible prefer 03/04 due to the longer head threads, but not opposed to a clean 99-02 model. Color preferred would be white or black. Stock as well, but if modded a limited amount.

Thanks!

Jake

sadly its come down to higher mileage trucks beat to shit by loser owners or mint trucks at a premium. Posting a WTB seems to bring out people who are willing to sell but havent actually listed their truck.

Please explain how an owner is a "loser" for having a high mileage truck?

you left out the “beat to shit part”, granted I’ve seen some lower mileage ones run into the ground too. The “beat to shit” part doesn’t seem to stop people from asking way too much for em

bad title, flaking paint, torn up seats with 200k and asking 12k+

high mile trucks in reasonable shape for their age and a reasonable price seem to be few and far between

I'm a bit curious as to all the blow by on the under side of the throttle body as well as the blower bolts being so rusted, and spare tire prop rod with the socket extension on it.
