Gauge for Monitoring Air Fuel - plus other OBD info on a 2010 Shelby

Okay...added bung to my exhaust - so what gauges will allow me to use OBD data PLUS be able to monitor an external air fuel sensor since the 2010 did not have that built in.

I do not want to spend a fortune since I don't track and it is for occasional monitoring....ngauge is not needed - way too costly. I expect maybe one more tune in the lifetime of this 2010 with the SCT if it is needed but that would be it.

I have looked at the Aerforce Interceptor and the Banks Indash (asked them for info on their unit to see if it can do what I am asking). Any other gauges in this price range I should be looking at? It would be nice to be able to monitor more than just the air fuel but I also only want to use ONE gauge probably in the left A/C vent. Thanks

Personally, I would never go with an nGauge for one simple reason. It locks you in with one specific tuner. What if you go this route and for whatever reason, you become no longer happy with that tuner? All your hardware becomes useless unless you continue business with the guy you no longer like..... No thanks! And for me, I tune myself so this option is out of the question for me.

The Interceptor (I have one) is an awesome product. You can select any / all OBD data, plus add a WB (and more). You can use their WB hardware, or anyone else's as long as it has a 5-volt output that you plumb into the Interceptor. This is what I've done. The one "limitation" this gauge has is the two function display, or four if you go with their dual gauge setup. If you need more at any given time, sorry. The only way is a laptop with datalogging software.

For me, the most important real-time function would be the WB, so I chose the Innovate Motorsports DB gauge:

DB Gauges: Air Fuel Ratio Guage

with the LC-2. This gives me a single gauge with a large display that I can see at a moment's glance. I could choose the WB output on my Interceptor, but the display is small and it would simultaneously display a second function, making it a little difficult to see just the air/fuel ratio at a moment's glance. On my Interceptor, I typically display the IAT2 and another that I'm interested in seeing at that time.

I'm not familiar with the Banks..... Hope this helps.

Aeroforce is the next best thing to an Nguage. Ngauge is still king though IMHO.
I would try and find one used to chip away at the price and if you want AFR and boost readings, try to find a used Zeitronix box like I did. I think all in I am under $400 for the entire Nguage, zeitronix with wideband and boost sensor.

The Aeroforce will allow you to set up IAT & IAT2 on the same screen to compare, which I find useful..
I hated my aeroforce so I went with a different setup, and it doesn't monitor IAT2. Im so unhappy about that.

IAT2 is a stock sensor though. It did not allow you to monitor that sensor? Are you sure it was scanned for the correct car? I have helped a bunch of other Ngauge owners with this on their Ngauge as well and they had the wrong car scanned, so the PID did not show.

That would be my thought too (selected wrong car). I have no issues monitoring IAT/IAT2 on mine.

Edge told me iat2 was not in the software to monitor. They only allow certain pids, not all.

My aeroforce did monitor it. But I hated the gauge. My new setup doesn't. Sorry if I wasn't clear.

Oh that’s weak. I thought it would monitor all pids the ecu made avail.
Good thing I do not have an aero force then. Lol.

Jesus christ let me try this again

I had an aeroforce. It will monitor any and all pids. But it's antiquated, cheap feeling and breaks all the ****ing time.

I got rid of all my gauges except my wideband. I run am edge cts3 with external sensors for boost and fuel pressure. It's very modern looking and customizable. Sadly it won't monitor all pids, only the ones the edge engineers felt were needed.

My options look really limited on the 2010 since it needs external input for wideband... Probably Aeroforce is the cheapest alternative. I like the Banks Idash (but not the name on the gauge!!) but to add the WB it looks like the cost would skyrocket the price..

.
If that information isn't available through the OBII port, then it won't, on my 14 it is..

I'm well aware.

Old gauge did monitor it
Sct livelink monitors it.

Edge doesn't.

It's available. They told me their engineers didn't at it to the software because they felt it wasn't needed.
