Saw a few people on the side of the road with torn up tires this morning, pay attention to the TPS light folks. When it's -20F, they fail pretty catastrophically.

If I remember/have any ambition, I'll get some shots of my yard and driveway later on. We're supposed to get more powder today apparently. Only plus to the cold temps is that it makes for the light fluffy flakes. Problem is that the banks are so high that by the time you lift the shovel up to dump it, half has already fallen off back onto the ground. Highest spot on my property (combo of plow, shovel, and blower accumulation) is at least 5.5 feet. Average throughout the entire yard is probably a foot or so.

Well more snow here in south TX. Tons of people without power or water. Temps here were above freezing for the first time since Sunday. We have had rolling blackouts to help spread the demand. It will be on for like 20-30 min and then off for like 3 hours

No ones ever heard of dripping faucets.
I guess some places they were still freezing up even with dripping.

My brother in law is in Dallas. Literally LAST week he bought a really damn nice remote start 9500w generator.

Seriously, last week. The timing could not have worked better.

I saw video footage today of some of the freeze damage. Floors caving in. Dripping water from faucets in homes freezing into a solid stream of ice. Fish tanks freezing solid. Horrific!

The home renovation builders will be swamped.
