I was going to trade mine in on a truck because I just don't drive it that much. Then they told me what they'd give me for trade value. I paid off the cobra a month or two later and bought a different truck.

Good for you!

They try to give you 10K for a trade in and then they turn around and sell it for 18K.

Glad I learned the game a long time ago. I never buy brand new and I never have my vehicle serviced at a dealership. The ONLY time I visit a dealership is to buy like new vehicles or maybe look at the ridiculously marked up cars like the 2020 GT500 LOL.

And remember!!!!

I have had mine since 2005. Was my first major purchase out of college. My father and I have done most of the work over the years so it is more a sentimental item for me. Most people around here don’t know what Terminators are so you don’t get much attention when driving. Hard to believe it will be 20 next July.

I had an '04 mystichrome vert I bought in '08....daily'd it 3 years and sold it in '11 for pretty near what I paid. Picked up my current '04 torch red coupe in '11 and have had it ever since.....have had 2 dozen chances to sell it for well more than I paid.

So, pretty much a 13 year run of owning a terminator. Love these cars no desire to sell.

To answer the OP, feels great to get back into another 03-04' Cobra. I owned a DSG coupe from 2003 to 2010 and sold it when I went the GT500 route. Two months ago, bought an 03' DSG Vert. Took me over a year to find the Cobra I wanted for the price I wanted to pay. But was well worth the wait. Car is in great condition and I've had a great time this winter cleaning and detailing it.

I bought my 03 Redfire vert from a member here "Kenzilla" back in 08. I've thought about selling it a couple of times over the years but never got excited enough to do anything about it. Back in 08 it was considered to be a heavily modified car, not so much these days but it is still a blast to drive.

Pretty sure the miles are still only 27 or 28K and being the second owner doesn't feels pretty good too.

Always nice to see the OG’s come back. I’ve had mine since 06 and it isn’t going anywhere. I thought about selling once to buy a c5z back when it was p/i/e because I was bored with it. Glad I kept it though.

I bought my 03 redfire coupe in April of 2010. This car has taught me a lot over the years. I've enjoyed modding and driving it.

I have no plans of ever selling it and I've told people 40k wouldn't force me to sell it. It's hard to put a price on a car that has exceeded my expectations in every way.

IronTerp, glad to see you back in the Terminator Forums. Congrats on the 03 DSG Vert.

I’ve had my Terminator since Dec of 02. Traded a ‘98 for it. Daily driven it since. I hate the build quality. Tech (even back in 02) sucks, suspension is abysmal, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Love this car and can see why peeps keep returning to the platform.

This is my third Mystichrome. I bought the first vert in October 2015 with 2700 miles and sold it in Feb 2018 with 4900 miles. I missed the car so much was lucky enough to find a coupe with 14,500 miles that June and bought it. I then sold that car in August of 2020 with 16500 miles and missed that car too. I was lucky once more and found my current coupe for sale with 9400 miles. I bought it in September and this one I'm definitely going to keep. I've had people make offers but I know what happens when I sell them. I like the money but then I miss the car and I figured that this time, I won't find another low mile Mystichrome coupe unless I want to pay over $40K for it.

Thanks fellas. Good to be back! Had a heckuva time convincing my wife not to divorce me. Still have the GT500. The kicker was that that for every Cobra for sale here on SVTP, there's 10 "Wanted to Buy" threads. I told her that no way it would decrease in value as long as I take care of it and keep the mileage reasonable. Both of which I plan on doing!

Good to see you back in the game Dwight. Brought mine home 7/1/02, it’s still here with 20k on it.

TBH I liked my 07 GT500 better. But it was pumped up quite a bit more.

I really miss my 08 gt500. It was worlds more comfortable than my cobras but I also really miss my cobras. The nostalgia of them keeps bringing me back. I'm currently mustangless but I'm considering picking something up. Just dont know if I want a gt500 or 03/04 cobra more. The market may decide for me.

My first Terminator was a black 03 and my second was a Comp Orange Vert.

The asking price in Canada is getting out of hand. Some people are asking over 50k. There was a lower mile Lighting that had an asking price of 79k! They are nice vehicles but not worth what some people think they are.
I agree I have an 01 cobra fully built from head to toe with the exception of a forged motor. Getting ready for a d1sc procharger next week and I’ll have around 35k in it total. With that and the 410’s it’s sure to be a good time and I still don’t have the money in it for what people are asking for the 03/04 terminators. Oh yea and 11 k of that investment is the actual purchase price of my car.

It''s great to have you back man!

Seems like the 5.Bro guys are another breed. Had a bunch show up at a cruise-in. They say the big twin screw under the hood and was like oh man that car must make 5-600 hp! I just smiled and said ya it's close to that. He went on to tell me about all the power his CAI and ATAK mufflers made.

I told you before, all Terminators make 600hp.
