I must agree, the restoration of the bolts makes this a legit next level build. Who gives a **** if it's not "a factory" R. It appears it will be better than a factory R. Excellent work!

More progress on the paintjob, given these pictures made this process look like it went by really quick.... i probably had 4-5months in stripping this car down and painting it, and i STILL wasnt done

Also, i love the oem Dzus fastners but they just look so weathered and nasty...... i opted to make my own custom stainless bolt setup that mimic'd the Dzus fastner. Small details

I will try and post updates on the interior build next.... part 1 of it anyways

Did i ever mention sourcing correct R parts is hard to do??? well it is, very much so.

Some things i have had to make, pictured here is the coolant degas hose step down that is literally impossible to find..... so make one, was my only option

Also decided to change the color scheme up on my 1-off intake plaque.... to better suit the R theme

Its turning out really nice so far!!

Did you see the link I posted to the intake plaque on eBay?

I actually think your intake plaque looks perfect now

Not if it is supposed to be a genuine clone. With it missing something like that, it'll always look like a clone. I've never seen a 00R owner that decided to remove that plaque.

Wow! Tons of attention to detail! Above and beyond, like every one else here it’s the nuts and bolts type of thing that makes this epic. I love watching Joe’s epic builds and even the crazy build of the original R(crazy as in a wild over the top build) and the beautiful 427 powered 65. Now this has my attention as well, thanks for posting
