A small positive hope, there may be light at the tunnel. COVID numbers appear to have crashed. Currently 58k 7 day average for cases. We have not been at this level since October. Our peak was 259k. From what I can tell most people will be vaccine eligible by May. And essential workers can get it in April. With any luck, we might return to "normalcy" again within a couple of months. I pray for any of you affected by this. God knows it's been a shit show.

not at my post...
I'm not sure it's so much a matter of being able to return to normalcy as it is being allowed to.

Looking good until the border influx reinfects everyone and we go into lockdown again just like Nancy wants

It also appears we have cured the common cold.....when was the last time anyone even mentioned they had normal flu like symptoms.
I agree. I can't remember anyone I know who have had flu symptoms or a cold, since at least January 1. And probably further back.

I doubt you have to worry about reinfection to be honest. Remember the narrative that antibodies were gone within three months? Well, 6 months later my wife still has detectable levels of antibodies.

Why would you expect to see any appreciable number of cases of influenza or the common cold when the vast majority of people are protecting themselves from an aerosolized (ie, airborne) virus by wearing masks and keeping physically distant from others?
