Merry Christmas from Roman Grosjean I guess hahah? I still need to get some equipment to do my own alighments.

Pretty much lol. The long-acre Caster camber gauge and toe plates came out to $200 from Pegasus, wasnt bad at all and the alignment configurations on the s197 dont seem complicated at all for the average track enthusiast

Was able to snag some Steeda braided brake lines last second to help, the 302R lines were not braided and due to possible debris on track I decided it was a must have as well as for fighting brake fade. Replaced DOT 4 fluid with Motul 660 RBF as it had the most favorable reviews amongst the racing community. (Also the most expensive lol at $52 a liter). Was able to do the front alignment using The specs Vorshlag was nice enough to supply me with as well as begin install for the Lifeline fire suppression. Extremely impressed with the quality of the kit, I am able to run 2 nozzles to the engine bay, 2 to the fuel cell, and 2 to the drivers seat. It comes with more, but I felt this was sufficient.

Sourced a T2R Torsen diff, installed and ran the lines for the differential cooler. Tilton pump was extremely easy to install. cleaned up some of the wiring for the pumps and installed a Watson Racing center panel to replace the “cluttered” setup from before.

Next step is to clean up the install from the diff cooler and fire suppression before taking it to Palm Beach Dyno for a tune.

Ordered a new chariot for the old gal as well..should fit nicely . Trailer built to order so should be done in about 2 months just in time for the car. No more wood planks to get the damn thing on or off!

Finished up a lot of minor things all around the car. Went with Palm Beach Dyno for the tune and snagged an Ngauge before they ran out of stock Did the plumbing for the fire suppression system and I must say I am impressed on the ease of install.

Next step is to double check all bolts and nuts, then send it off to alignment and begin data logging with PBD to dial her in.

Dude, this has come a ways! Do you have anymore install pics of the fire system. I just put in a 2.5 bottle, and bracket for mine, but want to update to a system like yours down the road. Can't wait to see more.

It’s a lifeline fire suppression, vorshlag sells the full kit for $400 and it’s the easiest thing in the world to install. Just bend and run the lines as you want them, cut them with a hose cutter and the spray nozzles have a one time use click-in style setup where you push the end of the hose in and it locks into place. Will grab some more pics for you next time I head up for routing and setup

Thanks everyone! Will post vids soon of an open track day at either sebring or Miami with the go pro to dial it in. It’s been a long journey, survived a divorce, child support, and remarriage. If the new wife ever complains I just tell her I had it before her and I’ll have it after her

Latest developments, was originally going to pay to have someone install the torsen diff and gears but everyone was busy for NMRA or simply showed no interest in doing the job. Ended up doing it myself, wasn’t too bad of an install just very tedious. Some big uga dugas to tighten that crush sleeve correctly and ensure proper preload! Monday the car is getting aligned, then it’s off to the Dyno

Do you think it would have saved you time just pulling the rear out all together? I also can’t imagine myself being able to get the leverage needed to tighten the crush sleeve with it on jack stands.

Well done sir!

Yes and no, it would save me time because of ease of access but I would lose it In spending it on disconnecting everything attached to the axle. It wasn’t as daunting of a task on the ground as I expected. It’s not recommended but I ever so lightly tapped the yoke nut with an impact until there was almost no slack and then that’s when I brought it in and adjusted preload manually with a breaker bar and a yoke retention tool to keep it in place, checking preload every quarter turn until I hit my mark.

Question, where can i get a sheet of that 4x8 Dibond? I need it to help brace a Cobra R splitter

I stopped by a local industrial plastics warehouse and asked for a sheet. Faulkner plastics was the name. Came out to about $110 with tax and I had leftover material to fabricate an air dam for the radiator. Pretty easy to work with too

Hopefully you won't have to mess with it again, but next time get a Raetech solid spacer. Comes with the shims to adjust preload and Waaaaayyyyyy better than a crush sleeve that can open up the preload in time. One of the best innovations ever.
