2.63 for e85?!

So I have to ask it seems Blue states the prices have pretty much not changed. Red states it's gone up over a dollar more (not researched just judging from thus thread). What is causing the increase? I honestly haven't noticed much here. If anything E85 has gone down.
Red state here and for 93 octane, I paid $2.49 on 12/24/2020 and on 3/10/21, I paid $3.49.

And LOL to anyone who thinks the current administration has anything to do with gas prices!!!

They sure as hell do it’s gone up .80 cents in Ohio since Beijing Biden took office. How is do you think they’re gonna get people to buy EV’s? They also killed the pipeline with the stroke of a pen which killed jobs. We now have a crisis at the border but it’s ok you all can sleep better because Biden is more presidential and isn’t a meanie other countries will respect us I mean take advantage of us again. Keep sipping that blue Kool-Aid.

The Keystone pipeline wasn't going to have any noticeable effect on gas prices and even if the project were to be completed, how many jobs were going to be permanent? 35 or so?

Was $2.99 at Costco for 93 on Sunday here in Ft. Myers, FL. The pump stops at $150 so that's annoying to hit now. -_-

You’re right and wrong. Bideeeen is causing prices to rise for many reasons.

But the recent shock to fuel prices is due to winter storm URI and Texas refinery shutdowns. The data I have only goes back to 1990. Refinery utilization was down to 56% recently, the lowest recorded in 30+ years. Second lowest was last year March at 64%. Even hurricanes don’t have this sort of impact.

Here’s your .40 cent increase in 1 month:

Up to $3.60 for 87 in San Diego. Doesn’t help that morons in my state voted for extra fuel tax to improve roads even though there was already grant money set aside for this.

Oooooof, the name. Who would have thought when you made it back in 03 that AOC would become the most obnoxious combination of 3 letters sans maybe HIV.

I’m surprised it took this long for someone to catch that or at least post it lol. It’s time to ask the moderators for a name change I think.

So shutting down fracking and drilling on federal land has no affect on our prices?

Those were all peoples chosen way to feed their families in a "free country". You are perfectly fine with government killing peoples paychecks. **** you communists.

Fuel can hit $5/gallon for all I care. I'll keep driving my 7.3L Tremor to piss others off.

Sure hope youre serious about that.

At $5/gallon with a 25 mile one-way commute you'd be paying ~$5400 per year (over $450 per month!) in gasoline.... HARD PASS.

My bet is you'd park that bad boy and reserve it for weekend duty only.

Not likely. I have no desire to buy a beater or 2nd car. I may bring the wifes Explorer ST in once a week instead, if she is still working from home. But that's only getting 19.3 MPG.
